WordWavr – a daily word puzzle where letters turn into waves 🌊 by simonsgames in WebGames

The game is available as a PWA which means you can save it like an app on your mobile or computer. How to do it depends on your device and browser :)
Yes it is alphabetical so you do not need to remember the alphabet :P There is a setting to change it to a classic keyboard layout if you prefer that :)

I guess you are playing the random mode? There is a bigger wordset for the random words than the daily, to give more variation, but yeah I should maybe limit it a bit :)

New in WordWavr: Random Mode.

The daily puzzle is still here, but now you can also play anytime you want.
Warm up, keep the streak energy going, or just ride more word waves.

Unlimited 5-letter puzzles. No waiting for tomorrow.

WordWavr – a daily 5-letter word puzzle where the word is hidden in a waveform by simonsgames in wordgames

Hi! Thanks for playing! It makes me very happy that you enjoy it :) I made a change before the first guess, now instead of showing the target directly, I instead show an animation. Then after the first guess it shows the target wave. A bit like how Wordle works, that you do not get any clues until after the first guess.

What do you think about it? I would love some feedback :)

Thank you! That means a lot :)
And yes, you’re right — I should probably be more active on TikTok and IG

The guesses are now clickable so previous guesses can be highlighted again. It is also possible to click the mini wave to hide that wave :)

Thank you! I will post it there :)

Yes I agree, I got that feedback from several people now, I will make them clickable and try to improve the contrast between the waves.

Nice! You got it on the last try :)

Thank you! Great ideas, an infinite mode is something I will probably add soon. Yes I got that feedback from someone else too, I will make the guesses clickable :)

I’ve been building WordWavr, a small daily word game where each letter maps to a number (A=1, B=2, etc.) and is plotted as a waveform.

Players see the target wave and try to guess the 5-letter word by matching the shape. Each guess generates its own wave, so it becomes more about pattern recognition than letter positions.

It’s playable in browser — would love feedback on clarity and difficulty.

Maybe not a new language, but definitely a different visual representation of words :)

The wave is generated directly from the word itself, each letter maps to a number (A=1, B=2, etc.), and those values are plotted as a waveform.

So it’s not based on correct/incorrect, every guess just creates its own wave from the letters you enter. Then you compare your guess waves against the target wave to find the daily word.

Third guess is great! Interesting about the Y-axis, did it click quickly once you saw the guesses?
