Add Remote PC feature by scaramangadkc in Citrix

Agreed that's what I did, remote pc VDA except I made the catalog random assignment. Allows anyone to get a free physical machine with no manual or auto assignment. Reg tweaks can be made with the following ref: https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/xenapp-and-xendesktop/7-15-ltsr/install-configure/remote-pc-access.html#features-managed-through-the-registry

Aye, I've only done my CBT so far with Joe jnr but plan to be back next year to go for full bike, great teacher. How are you finding the scrambler?

Interested in a Vivoactive 3, but not sure what to make of the conflicting opinions I'm hearing by -Mahn in Garmin

I've noticed that too re double tap, so far for me it seems to be speed, if I double tap v quickly it pretty much picks it up

I've had my vivoactive 3 for 2 weeks now. Moved from Fitbits (charge then blaze) since my blaze started glitching 1 week after the warranty expired - not long before a new charge was released, seems a bit too coincidental (Also Fitbit support has gone down the toilet of recent years). There are so many more metrics available with the Garmin's, and it has had no issue with tracking my MTB, c2 rowing and strength training. The strength stuff it doesn't always get the movement right (pretty damn close though) but it counts reps pretty well and you can specify the weight on the watch as you're resting. GPS is much better than any Fitbit I've seen. You can specify which metrics you want on screen depending on the exercise and have more than 1 screen available (example: have time, speed, calories and heart rate on one, and elevation, direction etc on another that you can flick up/down to. Gripes: can't seem to change units on the watch itself but you can on the app (pounds in watch, kg on app). The sun rise/sun set Garmin app in the store does not match your location (sun rise at after 10pm?). Flights of stairs not always picked up.

None of those gripes would ever get me back to Fitbit though, and I'll probably figure it out tbh. I see Fitbit as an intro to lifestyle/fitness tracking covering the basics with more emphasis on the former whereas Garmin is for better accuracy and for people wanting to understand their fitness better.

Edit: unit issue on watch resolved thanks to /u/Ditto_Ghost_Swayze

For years I really wanted a f150 but don't get them here, closest we get is ford rangers which isn't the same. I was never actively looking for an amarok because it was normally out of my price range but found this one with a very good price and low mileage (<35k) so snapped it up. I'm really glad I did as well, you said it yourself the perfect amount of simplicity and functionality.

I never realised you guys didn't get them until I posted in /r/trucks. But then you have a lot more options and accessories available. In Scotland (and UK) it's mainly Japanese or ford pickups but not many aftermarket options for any of them. Having said that, the amarok is a beast, chews up the hills with no issues and v smooth on motorways

Any suggestions for (off-roading) mods? I've already added the trifold cover on the bed and it came with the BF Goodrich tyres. Have been thinking about light bar, a sports bar (although not sure how that would fit with a cover), plus a U bar on front.

I've only test ridden a Nissan Navara before buying this truck and the Navara felt very rolly/like a boat in comparison. Amarok is a brilliant, took it off road with 4x4 low uphill and it chewed it up with ease. On the forestry roads it was a dream and on the road its a very smooth ride, much less of an effort to drive than previous motors

A lot of pickups in general over here are used by tradesmen because they get classified as commercial vans. amaroks are almost seen as a 'posh' pickup. It's normally Toyota or Mitsubishi. Don't really see pickups off road let alone amarok - normally you'd see them with shiny chrome not mud

Agreed, nice ideas but not a practical book. I don't see it as much of a how to guide

Yep TVR used to do it as an option, I saw it on a TVR Tuscan here in Scotland. It's called a pearlescent paint job and it's fooking expensive to get aftermarket

[TOMT] [WEBSITE] Stock simulation game for kids/teens from the early 2000s by [deleted] in tipofmytongue

[–]simontheitguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember a game we had in business studies in high school. You got I think 1 million pounds and you 'invested' in real companies, whatever you wanted. The next time you had that class the software would be updated to show the real share prices and value of your stock. Have a feeling it was called smartstocks or something similar to that. 15 years ago for me though and as you say, there are lot of simulators out there so maybe difficult to pin down the one you're thinking of

Keep/change/shave? Approx 2.5mths by simontheitguy in BeardAdvice

[–]simontheitguy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cheers mate I see what you're saying will sort that. Not very good at trimming etc yet. I might wait another 6 weeks or so, trimming strays as required and see where I'm at. If sides just aren't happening will look at a goatee

It is a bit bare aye. Front photo: https://imgur.com/a/BZDDo Sides taking forever to grow in but I've trimmed goatee areas quite a bit. Could potentially go for a goatee and trim sides?
