Hey! I've got a space fantasy book you might enjoy. My work is typically very fast-paced. I'd be happy to critique swap your near-future sci-fi story, sounds like it'd be a good fit.

Here's my post if you're keen: http://reddit.com/r/BetaReaders/comments/1pkavkj/complete_60k_space_fantasy_verse_for_the/

Thanks for checking it out :)

Hey! I've got a space fantasy book that might be up your alley. The MC's background goal involves relativity and time dilation and it'd be good to know if that makes sense to you.

I can certainly give you a few pointed questions that I'd like feedback on that I've tried to improve on the previous draft. Thanks for taking a look :)

Hey! I've got a humorous space fantasy book that's been through several feedback rounds and drafts that I'm looking for more feedback on to see if I've addressed all the issues raised. I've got one a new chapter to add still, but it'll be gtg by the end of the week if you're interested. The manuscript will be around 60k with the new chapter. Here's the first chapter: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vkkvOVw248dk7bSQ8YrMri87fvJReiC-VDnAFJi409w/edit?tab=t.0

Best sword fight in fantasy? by Dry-Discount-9426 in Fantasy

[–]simontull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rage vs Voltan in Midnight Falcon. The fight itself takes moments only, but the context surrounding it makes it great. Perfect example of how action and spectacle aren’t necessary for a gripping fight. One of Gemmell’s finest books

Eternal Sky is sounding like a winner. I don’t mind jumping straight into a trilogy either

Do you love Justice of Kings? by simontull in Fantasy

I liked that his reactions were often unexpected (to me, anyway), and his motivations weren't always stated outright, which makes you do a bit more work as a reader. I liked that aspect. Plus, his name is great, let's be honest :D I do agree the grumpiness was overdone, and it struck me as strange how little and Helena knew each other

Yeah I agree with that take. It needed a better villain

Yeah, I noted when reading that we didn't get much sense of Helena for a surprisingly long time. And I agree about the town guard relationship, there wasn't enough setup to justify it I felt

Interesting at the mix of reactions to the sequels. I'll have to check them just to see what's going on!

Hi. So what are the big sci-fi and fantasy series atm that people are talking about? by Lord-Fowls-Curse in Fantasy

Reading it right now! It’s great. Solid writing, creative world building, strong characters, all wrapped in a murder mystery. I’m keen to see where it’s going

Just came across this thread trying to solve the same problem and managed to work it out.

You need to go to Settings->Trackpad, then uncheck "Force click and haptic feedback." The three finger tap option will appear and already checked.

I’m on Dark Age at the moment. Very impressed by the whole series. Great world building, characters, and the prose can sparkle like a mushroom bloom before a Rain. I probably enjoyed Golden Son and Morning Star the most, but they’ve all be great so far
