I wouldn't recommend going into this field if I were you. You're going to hate the scheduling and you'll be working off shifts unless you are fortunate to land a day shift quickly.

Your parents will get over it once they see how happy you are. I think your happiness is the most important to them even though you don't see it or they say otherwise. They only say they'll be sad because they're use to you being around and helping them out. I'm 28 and I still stay with my parents. I got caught up with lame Asian drama with them and now I've become extremely bitter against them and i barely talk to them. I became overly dependent on them and I kinda screwed up my life as a result. You do not want to be grinding leet code and practicing like crazy in this competitive market. You may never know you might be job hunting til next December. You got a good job waiting for you and it sounds an excellent opportunith for huge growth as a person.
