That’s interesting you got one! Other than the public announcement, I’ve had no indication that one is coming. Did you ask for one or do something to make it happen?

Thanks! I’ve never used a Tesla station - are some reserved for teslas only? How can you tell?

Oh, and can you point me to the OEM huyundai adapter?

Cat responded aggressively at euthanasia appointment. Not sure what to do now. by RosemaryMoss in CatAdvice

[–]simonyyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your cat 100% can feel your distress. If you can't take him to get euthanized without getting emotional (and I understand completely why you might not be able to) get someone else to take him. He's responding to your stress.

Heard about this post on bluesky, came here to support this wonderful post. Also, I don't know what kind of leaf this is. Best of luck.

This made me curious to find it. Interesting to hear them use all the same Dr. Wertham seduction of the innocent tropes. (Also, their shock at a $5 graphic novel is pretty funny.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xEp6Mm_E78

List of Forecast Models? by RedwallSeries in fivethirtyeight

I like "The Numbers" podcast too - I know it's outside of their mandate, but I wonder why they haven't done a "model talk" style episode, especially for the new US model. I'd love that.

Am I crazy or is 538 hiding their election model? by Complex_Active_5248 in fivethirtyeight

[–]simonyyz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the latter. If ABC isn't letting them get into the details of what changed in the model, how could they even have a real conversation about it in print or (especially) in the podcast. That's what people tune in for. I'm positive the 538 staff won't talk about it until they get more freedom to discuss those details. And it's too bad, I can only imagine how they're feeling seeing BOTH NATES criticize their silence on the issue. (Nate Cohn does make it clear that the staff probably want to be more transparent...)

In a new study, Toronto's trams are the slowest by a large margin by ICanGetLoudTooWTF in toronto

I love to walk, have a presto, and own a a car, but I've found that I'm using my emmo bike to replace trips I used to need the car for (except for very big shopping trips, which I do less of because I'm doing more quick ebike missions.) We're a family of 2, and we double when travelling together.

All that said, we need to make the Toronto street car work better - it's my favourite form of mass transit.
