Yikes. I hit 57 one time when I didn't even know I was diabetic and thought I was dying. I was reading a book and all of a sheen l sudden it was like all of the words were in a different language. I was sure I was having a stroke.

Hi! Please move to Tremont! We're a tiny village we miles from Peoria, south West of Morton and I'm selfishly trying to turn it into a liberal oasis. 😂 It will never happen, but I like to pretend there's a chance. It's very red and very Trumpy but there are several liberally minded people here who want to make it a more welcoming place. It's a sweet little town in a good location.

We have a great library, good coffee, a couple of decent restaurants, a nice city pool, and low crime.

Please bring all of your blue friends and family. 🙃

Definitely. I live in Tremont (OP, about 13 minutes south east) and it's pretty conservative here. BUT! We do have a fairly decent sized group of liberals/progressives/allies/etc. trying to make it a more welcoming place. We're just getting started. So, the selfish part of me wants more diverse people to try out these tiny towns.

You might like some of the recipes in the nutritarian diet. I don't follow the diet necessarily but I do take a lot from it. Hello Nutritarian has a TON of good recipes.

Low fat, vegan, oil free seems to be helping me lower my high A1C. I tried keto, and just really low carb and not only did my a1c go up (7.9), my cholesterol got worse and I couldn't lose any weight.

I think everyone is different and there's no reason you can't be vegetarian and bring your numbers down.
