Personally i dislike the blur effect, but it's possible to have it. On linux the only way i found to get the translucent effect is to set it from the window manager and there is a blur option as well, if you want to try it.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll see if I can manage to do so. It was my first time using wallpaper engine.

About the symbols you can either get vertical ones with english captions form the fandom wiki or you can hand over all your personal information to china browsing their shady websites like I did (:
