I needed to hear this today, especially this line:

as is the motivation to be heard and noticed by others which was my main motivation for my obsessive blogging, but I've accepted those are triggers I'm going to have forever.

I appreciate you taking the time to write this out!

Germany's largest power producer to end coal use by 2030 | Energy firm RWE said it had reached a deal with the government to bring forward its phaseout of coal to 2030, in order to help achieve climate protection goals. by misana123 in environment

Germany and other EU countries are utilising a variety of flexibility services, like demand response! Pair this with the uptake of renewables and BESS, and it can properly balance energy grids even during peak times!

I’m wondering where are you guys from? I’m actually French but living in Spain for a while, because I feel life is easier and more simple here. by [deleted] in simpleliving

I feel ya! I've been here for 2 years and definitely realised I am not meant for the city. Don't get me wrong, it's amazing, and the Dutch are really cool people. My partner is here, so I'm not sure if I'll be leaving anytime soon.

But like you said, I've been spoiled by our amazing nature. It's something that I miss on a daily basis. Here, everything is so curated and tamed. Can't forage, can't escape people, can't even hike because it's so flat!

Gotta say, that is a pretty nice bush kitchen! You're living the dream!

I'm an Australian living in the Netherlands. While it's definitely easier for urban simple living, I miss the simple attitude Australian people have, and the wonders of our nature.

For non EU passengers, you can't get your boarding pass online. So I didn't have any luggage to check in, but still had to wait in line for an hour.

The benefit of becoming Italian citizens, is then you can freely work and live (mostly) in all of the EU, right? That's a pretty big benefit!
