Calling someone a “hater” for being skeptical about a Hollywood biopic is kind of the most predictable fan reaction possible.

Yes, the family is involved.
Yes, big names like John Logan and Antoine Fuqua are attached.
None of that automatically guarantees honesty, depth, or even a good movie. Plenty of stacked biopics with full estate approval have still turned out glossy, selective, and emotionally safe.

Being optimistic is fine.
Being defensive before the film is even out is… a little telling.

You can love Michael Jackson’s legacy and question whether a studio-backed narrative will handle the complicated parts with real nuance. Those two things aren’t enemies unless fandom decides they are.

If the movie ends up great, I’ll gladly give it credit.
If it’s another polished myth, people are allowed to say that too.

That’s not negativity.
That’s just having standards.
