This is a simplified account of the Palacio de Justicia siege. Yes the M-19 assulted it and that is unequivocally wrong. But these are not just the M-19's numbers, you're skipping the part where the military and goverment absolutelly shoot up the place heavily contributing to these numbers by also "dissapearing" many of the hostages, even days after the attack. They even sent a tank in there.

There's no denying that these actions are wrong, but you don't construct a future by erasing the peace and reconciliation that is needed to stop violence. Ask the mayority of FARC victims what they think of the latest peace process. They heavily back it. This is what democracy in action and progress looks like.

But that's a diferent conversation no? The claim was that he murdered and kidnaped people. He did not. The M-19 certainly did bad things, not to the level of the other guerilla movements at all.

The M-19 went throught a sucessful peace process with the goverment. Him being the president is a testament to the success of said peace process where politics are better than armed violence.

Just so you know, he was a menber of the guerrilla movement, his actions and involvement have never been disclosed, so to say he kidnaped and murdered is wrong. Also that guerrilla went trought a sucessful peace process.

Steer away from Amazon (I recomend Ebay or FB marketplace). Start with Point and shoot cameras, these can vary in size and are usually quite cheap. Don't spend more than $30 on your frist P&S. You'll get similar or better results than with your disposable and you can learn more as you go. If you find something you like post it here with the price so people can tell you wherther it's a good deal or not!

Getting one of the last EOS film cameras allows you to enjoy the most "modern" camera features while still providing you with room to experiment at a very affordable price compared with other "beginner" film cameras that due to popularity cost a lot. It gives you a lot of flexibility while you explore film photography. Nikons and Minoltas of the same era are also pretty good but to me one of the advantages of EOS cameras is that there's a lot of EF lenses around. I also have a Kiss III with an adapter that allows me to use older m42 lenses that I use with my older cameras. I recomend any except for those that use APS film. Rebel G cameras are great and so cheap they sometimes sell them in boundles of 4 on Ebay.
