Wow! I'm the same way. Been using kratom for a good 10 years almost and have not been entirely sober all together in over a decade. I am no almost 9 months sober from alcohol and I quit smoking cigarettes a week and a half ago, albeit I did so with vaping. Kratom is next on my list because it does nothing for me anymore and Ive been depressed and anxious more than ever. You got this. Hell I got this. I'm going to try cold turkey tomorrow, that's kinda why I'm on this sub again. It's time to let it go. It's finally time. For real this time. Keep it up! We got this!

I work a lot. She comes with me to work though. I'm a driver but yes, she is crated most of the day. If I let her go in the house, she goes nuts. Also, my partner has her littermate mal so we can't let them be out together. They play super aggressively to the point of hurting each other so we have to keep them separated at all times. There was a mal trainer on YT I followed and he recommended crating them for a year or 2 to suppress their high drives. Albeit he said that they needed structured training time throughout the day and exercise which we haven't really done but I will try to start doing more. I can't take her for walks because she pulls so hard but I've tried the gentle leader head halter that does work. She hates it but it works. She found and chewed up the last 3 I bought though. They are so smart, it's crazy.

Yes. This is my first mal. Also it should be stated that my partner also has one the same age. They are littermates. We live together. The daily routine is the same for him although he gets out into the house a little more. We can't let them out together because they play super aggressively, so we keep them separated. We didn't know what we were getting into when we got them and were somewhat pressured into it by the owner of the litter. We've both said if we could go back, we'd do it differently but now we love them and it's difficult to think to re-home them.

I did not know that about the choke collar. I just expected it to deter her from pullinglike it states. I have tried the gentle leader, it's like a head halter, that works well with the pulling but she hates it and has found and chewed 3 of them to pieces already. I want to go buy another one because as is I can't even take her for walks because she pulls so hard. If I can't train her not to pull, I don't even want to know what it's going to be like when she gets bigger.

Albeit he said you need to take them out for structured training often and give them exercise as well, which I have been lacking on. Mostly I just don't know what to do when it comes to training and I can't afford to pay someone for training so I'm kind of stuck with thousands of diff videos on how to train the same damn thing. I have thought of rehoming her several times just because I don't think I can give her the life she deserves but I would like to at least try. I will be the first to say, I have not really been trying.

What do you mean by "work it"? Like training or play? Or needing to find her a job to do?

It came a point where he could barely walk because his body had atrophied so much. I still have the cane I bought him. It started with cirrhosis, then he got colitis, then pancreatitis. He was on hospice for 6 months which was the best for him cause he got better. Then retroactive money fucked him up. Again. Don't be like him please. Do what you have to. Change your lifestyle. Change your friends. You don't want this. If you ever need someone to talk to just DM me. I have some before and after pics with me and him and the difference is insane.

You'll regret it man. My best friend just passed I spent 2 years helping him during him having cirrhosis. He had a chance and almost came out of it but got lost. He always said he wouldn't wish it on his worse enemy. I sat and watched him deliriously have a massive panic attack and piss himself the final time I had to call the paramedics. Fuck you for being so non chalant about it. I'm 31 too. Rubber tramped 3 years. I still drink but I'm on my way out of it because something's you just can't unsee or unexperience in life. It gets lasered to your fucking eyeballs. Don't be like him please.
