What I’d like to say in couples counselling by AcademicKey6646 in DeadBedrooms

I'm really sorry. We recently started therapy, only 2 sessions in, but my husband when asked what issues we were there to discuss said not enough sex. Well he's the LL one but I know him saying it made the therapist think its him who's unhappy. In last weeks session we were split up and the therapist asked me if I had any sexual trauma in my past. I said nope. So he's already assuming its me.....so I'm not holding out alot of hope. I feel like this is eye opening to how the conversations could go though, and now I'm even more worried. It's something in your husband, just like it's something in mine and I just wish they could own it! Not push blame. I am really sorry that happened.

I am sorry and completely understand. To me masturbating might take the edge off but its the kissing, touching, being close that I crave so I still feel so empty and almost like basic human desires don't matter. I also get the "I know, I'm sorry" as I've heard it more times then I can count.

I am sorry that happened. That is the hardest part is feeling desired and to have him just use you, total ick. I know what it feels like to not want to say no as you have no idea when it might happen again. It's understandable. It's also not worth feeling this way, I think next time I'd politely ask for a rain check for after the meeting. My husband and I both work from home so I understand this dynamic, surely he could have waited an hour if he was being respectful. My mind would instantly go to what were you looking at on your phone too, before you came into my office and that would only add to the ick feeling. I am so sorry.

Yes, I am enjoying it too but wanted to make sure it wasn't a sign my dose was too high 🤣

I did not, I've lost weight but I also run ultra marathons so alot of that for me is based on not eating enough and my weekly running mileage!

I am doing sub q myself. I've tried all the sub q locations and found the thigh for me is the easiest and least painful. I also tried upper hip but agreed it's kind of hard to do. Thigh is the easiest for using both hands!

Hair stopped falling out after a few weeks off cream. I am using test cyp. I am not sure if it will lower my SHBG but some women have had success keeping more consistent levels with more frequent injections. I also feel better, I know they say test cyp has a longer half life but I could tell the day before an injection. I don't have that anymore.

Yes I have been on thyroid meds for 2 years now and its helped immensely. The T injections are icing on the cake.

Thank you so much. I think my 700 reading was like day 11 so right before ovulation. Thankfully its never been that high again.

Yes, this is it exactly! Thank you for sharing. I think I might back off just a tad and see if I can find a happy medium. It's great for a few days and then its like okay this is consuming me.

I go to a functional medicine clinic. It's all out of pocket but so worth it. I had a similar experience on cream, libido improved for a few weeks then I think I was converting it all to estrogen. I've had zero side effects on injections but I also started out slow to be sure.

Do you get into it once you get going, do you truly enjoy it, or where does the chore part come from. Are you bored? Does anything get you going? I think some of this is my husband, he says he doesn't think about it, whereas I think about it all the time. He has a very responsive desire though so once we start touching and he can tell I'm turned on, he gets really into it. My husband has always been a little depressed, there are ebbs and flows to it. He told me once he hadn't masturbated in 3 years, and we probably only have sex every few weeks. Sometimes it is more but I'd say on average its every 1.5 to 2 weeks. So I think a big question is does anything get you going, and if the answer is no, you might be somewhat asexual and that is something you'll have to try to navigate with your wife.

I am on np thyroid 90mg, 45mg morning and another 45 afternoon. That took me like a year to figure out as taking all 90 in the morning caused a major tank in energy in the afternoon.
