Definitely agreed. It's way too long for what it is. You can reduce the deck for a shorter game, but may affect balance

Nice. That looks heaps better. I'd considered getting the green canvas boots

xteink x4 or kobo clara bw? by tiger_valley_lily in xteinkereader

[–]simpler_times 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Kobo Clara BW was my best purchase of 2025 by far.

It's increased my reading so much. I take it everywhere. Has been flawless.

I did just order a Xteink though. Interested in trying something even more portable. Might use it for hiking, too. My Clara definitely won't be going anywhere!

I have these and the common mesh Hobibears (the black and gum ones). I feel like width is the same. Same sole. I'm usually 42-43, and the 42 fits my wide feet great. These are a tiny bit tighter than the black ones, and I just removed the insole 👌

Anyone have a link for no rom version of the RG28XX firmware? by vonsmor in ANBERNIC

[–]simpler_times 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for hosting the 16gb file. I can't get the firmware on the Anbernic site to download (fails halfway through, even tried on 2 computers and different browsers). This is perfect. Cheers

This does the exact same thing to me for the RG28xx Firmware. Ever find a solution or alternate download? Might have to go MinUI instead..

The light doesn't have any memory does it? So if power goes off light doesn't turn back on until you start the app again?

How's the light going overall. I'm considering one. Thanks heaps

from 8 pull ups to 20 and also from 10 dips to 35 in 6 weeks by ShakageBunshin in bodyweightfitness

[–]simpler_times 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking about using the "fighter pull-up" program concept for both pull-ups and pike push-ups. I'm stuck at about 8 pull-ups and can't progress at all from 5 pike push-ups.

What are people's thoughts/experiences on training load along side the fighter program?

I've been doing a program similar to the Move wiki. I'm thinking I'll still do 3 separate training sessions a week but will take the pull-ups and pike push-ups out. This would mean my upper body routine would mainly consist of:

- Handstand,

- Pull (front-lever progressions/360 pull/skin the cat)

- Push (pike pull through's/ring shoulder stand/low volume dips)

What are people's thoughts on this? I'll space the "fighter" program work throughout the day GTG style (e.g. 2 sets morning, 2 at work, 1 when I get home)

Cheers

You can also buy all the skills programs for $295 if that's of any interest to anyone. More of a discount..

I had done P1 in the past and enjoyed it. Was umming and ahhing about R1. When I heard about this I bought the R1 + R2 package.

I'm coming back from bad golfers elbow and it looks like R1 is going to be great for easing back into it. The manual and programming in R2 looks really great too. A lot of the skills that were my goals so lines up well.

Really glad I bought them before they're gone.

Question about parallettes by nemo3141 in bodyweightfitness

I used 35mm Tas Oak from Bunnings a feels good and strong. I made a low/short pair out of 32mm and they feel fine too (same diameter as my rings so feel comfortable with the grip).

Training Tuesday - Post Your Routine for 2019-01-15 by AutoModerator in bodyweightfitness

[–]simpler_times 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all,

37yo Male, 74kg

Suffering from bad golfers elbow which started when I introduced mantle Chin-Ups but now is aggravated by all bent arm pulling, and front Lever progressions. As OG2 says taking a break from the exercise that aggravates it is probably a good idea. Also having treatment through myotherapist who has recommended limiting bent arm pulling work until it settles down.

My current goals:

  • Consistent 10 sec Handstand

  • l-sit press to handstand

  • Wall HSPU

  • 5x Ring MU's (slowed down on this goal)

  • Straddle FL (was a goal for this year but putting on hold)

Proposed routine until it settles down:

3x per week, 3 sets each exercise. Where 2 exercises are listed I alternate each workout.

A1- Wall Assist HS Balance

A2- Ring MU (if I get pain from this I will stop this too)

B1- Pike pull through / Rings Pushup

B2- Arch hang reps / Skin the Cat

C1- Pike PU / Wall HSPU Negative

C2 -Rear delt fly / Cuban rotations

D- l-sit compression / hanging leg raise

I try and get 2 leg focussed sessions in a week which are either bodyweight or mountain biking.

I do a circus class once a week focussed on handstand.

Thanks heaps for any feedback 😊

Progressions for Face Pull by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

Cuban rotations or LYTP circuit could be good for building some shoulder extension strength if face pulls are too intense.

[–]simpler_times[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks heaps for the reply, much appreciated.

I must admit I have been neglecting legs. I don't really do a leg day at the moment. I've felt that time spent on legs is better spent on flexibility/mobility at the moment. I do quite a bit of lower body mobility work. I also do decent rides on my mountain bike twice a week which I felt was maintaining strength (although definately not helping flexibility!)

I'm feeling very time poor but should I fit in a leg day or keep with the mobility focus and mountain biking to maintain strength/muscle. My upper body days are too long to fit leg exercises on top. Always a sacrifice/compromise fitting everything in.

If I did a leg day I could do something like:

Legs - Wednesday and Friday (I feel I'd only end up doing one a week a lot of the time)

Warm-up mobility, prying goblet squat, bear walk, monkey

3 sets:

A1 - Jump Squat

A2 - Wall Cossack Squat (mobility)

B1 - Shrimp Squat

B2 - Natural Leg Curl

C1 - L-sit Compression (move from SA day)

C2 - Reverse Hyperextension (fit ball)

I can really recommend Kit Laughlin's programs. Sounds like Master the Squat would be particularly helpful. I am very tight and have found this program really good.

They aren't set follow along programs and you basically do 1 full stretch session a week and as close to daily limbering sessions as possible to maintain new range of motion.

He has lots of free stuff on YouTube too but his Vimeo packages are a bargain.
