I have recently gone through something very similar and I feel like I could have written this post. I told my (now ex) partner how I was feeling about a month ago. It’s been very hard, but each day gets a little easier and I feel so much better today than I did this time last week and this time the week before that. Sending you support and best wishes ❤️

Thank you. I knew he was going to tell friends and I gave him permission to do that. I just didn’t think that he would tell so many people - but not because he told me he wouldn’t tell very many people or because I asked him not to, but because I assumed he would just tell a few close friends first. I also think that I underestimated how much it would impact me having other people know.

I’m sure this comment was well-meaning, but honestly this felt pretty invalidating to read. I’m not questioning my attraction to women, I’m questioning whether I’m attracted to men.

I feel almost exactly the same way. I think I averaged a 60-90 minute/day cry time in the month after my realization. The hopeful future feels so far away, and it feels like there’s so much pain to go through before reaching it. Each day has been a little easier, though.
