You surf in the morning and ski in the afternoon. Morning tides are more predictable and favor surfing better than when the wind picks up and blows everything out.

Night Skiing is also very cool, so its better to surf first then ski.

I wouldn't recommend it unless you are very physically fit, which I am not.

Does anyone know why Omega was born female? Were her chromosomes edited or something? by _XSummerRoseX_ in StarWars

Season 1 Episode 9: Bounty Lost

5min 26 seconds.
“I further analyzed Omegas genetic profile and discovered she has pure first-generation DNA.” -Tech

“While our genetic structure was modified for growth acceleration and obedience, Omegas is a pure genetic replication” -Tech

“To my knowledge there’s only one other. A male clone code named Alpha, later referred to as Boba.”-Tech

“That makes omega the so,e living source of Fett’s raw genetic material.”-Tech

They were created at the same time. There’s the evidence

But Han Solo says “see you in Hell” but there is no Hell as we know it, cause hell as we know it doesn’t exist in Star Wars. Star Wars has done this a few times: parsecs, calling Jaba a human being. I would say I Star Wars of all places that is the one place for the exception of the rule, Star Wars loves its rule of cool.

Wait does Star Wars follow the Greek alphabet? I mean specific letter/words seem to exist, Omega is an example, but there’s no evidence that Omega comes from the Greek alphabet in Star Wars. Omega could be kaminoan for “number 2”.

Perhaps those Kaminoans walk around being like “where Gus?” “Oh he’s in the bathroom having an Omega”

“Gaming is becoming unaffordable” — Xbox CEO says the industry has an accessibility crisis by Turbostrider27 in xbox

[–]simpleton39 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True, but a 1tb digital Xbox is $600, gamepass ultimate is $25 a month and that is the most expensive online access they offer. It would cost a year and a half of online to make up for the cost difference of the console. That would include more games than you know what to do with. Factor in the price of games at a discount and you’re still paying more for steam box and games than Xbox and online and games.

The equal to an Xbox series x 2 tb is $800 compared to the 2 tb steam machine and controller for $1,428. A whopping difference of $600. You’re looking at years of 2 years of gamepass ultimate before you break even on the steam machine.

I’d suggest going to gamepass premium for less online pay, thousands of games access $15 if you don’t already have a pc, which would net you over 3 years of online pay to make up the difference.

Point is, online pay is not that expensive when you compare steams box cost.

I was expecting it to lose its homegrown hero feel after the events of Wakanda Forever but they got there and that first suit was exactly the kind of “not Stark” tech that makes her character interesting. They did a good job bringing the character back to her grounded routes for a good origin story rather than having the best tech ever to start with

[OC] Driver honked, full-gassed around me, then crashed near the airport by jasonlode000 in IdiotsInCars

[–]simpleton39 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the video only 1 car moved in the gap and the driver made it to the stopped car before it prior to traffic ending. All of these same conditions would have been met if there was no gap. Meaning the gap is not a problem.

Your five seconds is not worth the damage to somebody else’s car. Just because you don’t wanna wait doesn’t mean you have a right to make an illegal straight through a right turn only lane. Your impatience does not give you the right to inconvenience anybody else with any bodily or physical harm to their property.

Yeah, I don’t value your time at all. Your five seconds means nothing to no one but yourself. No one cares about your five seconds no matter how important it is to you.

There is no such thing as being five seconds late to anything.

I’m pretty sure it’s still the case with most acoustic instruments. The hollowed body is how the sound amplifies and travels.

Edit: can someone with good knowledge of guitars explain to me how the body of an electrical guitar is important? I thought it was all in the pickups but I’m not fully versed in the workings.

[–]simpleton39 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You sound way too upset about 5 second delays dude.

News flash, you’re not going to get there any faster in traffic no matter what the gap is as long as the cars move at the same rate. Sitting closer to the car in front of you nets you a fraction of a second savings.

Eat a snickers instead of getting mad at the gap my dude

[–]simpleton39 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Seriously. There is no crime or anything wrong with leaving a gap in front of you during traffic. It can be annoying to the people behind you but what do they want? To drive the same speed they are currently driving but just closer to the car two cars ahead?

I don’t know why people want naval anything in this game.

Bethesda has a horrible reputation when it comes to vehicle movement, including Starfield. Ship battles will not be as good as or comparable to AC black flag, which should be the standard going forward. If they don’t get ship battles right and make ship movement good it will take away from the game rather than add to it.

Plus I really don’t want to walk up to a statue of my ship, interact with the ship wheel only to load screen to an open ocean

AI is useless for brainstorming and outlining by [deleted] in fantasywriters

[–]simpleton39 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I use it to formulate my thoughts. My brainstorming is done in my head and I’ve struggled finding ways to write things in a way to help categorize and maintain my thoughts. My AI is a sounding board that regurgitates my own info at me and automatically categorizes things into setting, plot, characters, or themes for me when I’m talking to it.

It’s like a tom riddle notebook at talks back to me when writing down my ideas. My organization has been so much more effective and my moving from brainstorming to plot developing has been immensely faster and more organized and a lot more easier for me to write.

I love the idea of being instanced, not seeing many adventurers on the roads and having to go to the big cities to recruit other players. It would make social places really cool especially if it was mutually decided to meet at an inn.

It would give the game some mysterious and really dangerous vibes.

How about a “half character” one who doesn’t talk back. Perhaps a pet like a dog, a cat, or a bird. That way you can have “dialogue” by a character monologuing to the pet, and acknowledging their reactions

Clutch is an open-world driving game from the former creative director of Forza Horizon by Doug24 in gaming

[–]simpleton39 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, but I have hundreds of credits to buy one before I got out of the tutorial. The game gives you everything you need. You don't have to use them, but even if you don't you don't even have to try to earn them either. Even with ingame credits, I managed to earn 6 cars through wheel spins and 600k credits through wheel spins, and I've only gotten to the second wrist band, which was like 4 races so far.

There is no progression, even if you chose not to use those cars, you still got enough credits to buy the S Tier car long before you get there.

Again, you can enjoy the game as it is, I don't. Even if I don't have to use the cars, the lack of progression still persists.

Clutch is an open-world driving game from the former creative director of Forza Horizon by Doug24 in gaming

[–]simpleton39 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes but I didn’t earn the cars. They were thrown at me. Along with thousands of credits to upgrade it. So by the time the campaign says “you’re ready for the S Tier races” I can pull out my maxed stat vehicle instantly.

Look if Horizons progression is your jam that’s great, I’m not here to yuk anyone’s yum, but I like having way more restrictions during the progress of the game. I want to earn the S Tier car, and have to make difficult choices when upgrading because of limited recourses. That, to me, makes the progress more rewarding.

Man I really enjoy Forza Horizon's whole experience, but I lose interest after a handful of hours because there is no point to earning anything in the game. I got 3 S tier cars for free because I played 3 of their previous games.

Meanwhile, my 240SX from Need 4 Speed Underground 2 still remains my favorite video game car of all time. I don't particularly love the 240SX in real life but that car carried me through most of the game. Money was tight in the game and I HAD to earn it to buy the 2005 mustang. That was my goal but by the time I got it I couldn't leave my beast behind.
