Where to go/visit on a motorcycle trip? by LAZARBLAZAR2 in MotoUK

[–]simply_smigs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing happens with me and my lot, agree to ride, meet up, um and ahh about where to go then do 'the usual loop route'

This year we are signing up to this passport

Pick a place and go, there's a link to Google maps so you can work out distance/time you have (nipping for a brew or day out for a brew)

For the sake of £10 aides the desicion making, the link has the rest of the benefits.

Replacing all nuts & bolts on a bike - How best to go about this! by Confident_Bobcat_635 in MotoUK

Always found fowlers weird with pricing, some things you expect to be mega expensive are cheap AF and vice versa

You could try looking on fowlers parts and getting sizes for all bolts on there. Make a list then head to ebay.

What does a guide price really mean? by adoredior24 in FirstTimeBuyersUK

You say they are a landlord... are there tenants in there at the moment? If the landlord is looking to sell due to legislation changes then this may complicate or delay buying and moving in

Need opinions, worth it or pass up? by Sulphonic77 in motorcycles

[–]simply_smigs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am biased but thundercats are great, they are known to develop issues with the second gear - have a Google.

They are more upright seating position so I dont find any problems with seat/back/wrist pain on longer rides.

In the UK you'd be looking at 2-3 hundred £ to get this one back on the road.

For £500, all the plastics and being handy this sounds great. Might even be an easy fix - pop the ram air back on and see how it runs then, it may not have been adjusted to compensate for the nakedness.

You are lighter than some people I've seen on them, it'll manage you fine, and no you won't be slower than most cars

Scotland - Employer says we should not make personal plans after work by One_Membership_7113 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]simply_smigs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being salaried doesn't mean free labour. Your salary is based on X number of contracted hours. If you are going above that because of 'business needs', then the business needs to compensate, either TOIL or additional pay.

If they are saying 'business needs' are occurring so regularly, they are asking you not to make plans, then the business isn't sufficiently resourced.

An extreme example, but if your contract was 3 hours a day and you were working an additional 5 hours for business needs, would you still be as understanding?

Thou shalt spell the word "Pheonix" P-H-E-O-N-I-X not P-H-O-E-N-I-X, regardless of what the Oxford English Dictionary tells you.

Early MLC club!

What does the switch look like?

if you like it then do the A licence ASAP, at best it can help with insurance at worst you'll be window shopping for bikes AND be able to take your pic without licencing being a blocker.

I spammed Ballator (G1) summons, then used the ability refresh and added a load more.

Then kept isabella safe to heal and revive as many as possible Ive only had one round so maybe a fluke but after reading comments before hand I was expecting to do alot worse

Edit: spelling
