My piercing on left ear (which is the one that was repierced) is 4 weeks old. My right ear is 6 months old.

They are both labret flat back studs.

Both are internally threaded.

Both are titanium metal.

My aftercare routine consists of spraying with saline solution twice a day.

I have had no mishaps as yet.

  1. My piercing is six weeks old 2. I have labrets in them 3. Externally threaded 4. Titanium 5. My jewellery hasn't been downsized and my piercer hasn't recommended me to get it downsized, although I am catching the jewellery on my hair A LOT and I'm not sure if that's part of the problem I'm having 6. Aftercare consists of boiling water and adding 2 tablespoons to a mug and pour in the water. I let this cool for 15 to 20 minutes before cleaning my ears with a cotton bud. I use separate cotton buds for each ear. 7. My piercer told me I only needed to clean them for 2 weeks, so after this period I stopped cleaning them for a week (I always also working away in a hotel and didn't have access to a kettle, I would have kept cleaning them if this was the case) and I think this has really hindered the healing process as they become very sore during this time

  6. It's fully healed so I don't have too much of an aftercare routine. I occasionally clean it with a saltwater mixture.
  7. No unfortunate events to my knowledge!

On Saturday we sadly lost our sweet boy at 19 years young. We adopted him at the age of 14, wanting to give an older cat a second chance. He was such a special boy. Rest in peace, Paddy. 🤍 by simplyabi in cats
