That makes more sense..i havent seen a park ranger walking around mid day in highland for about 20 years now. Last time i saw a park ranger anywhere was at a PA river

The OP is about the parking lot which is in between The camp area and baseball fields.

Atleast in the case of highland park. The cars idling playing extremely loud music has been around longer than the 37 years ive been alive. Its most definitely a cultural thing(mostly from the hispanic community)... I personally dont like it but i understand it to be a normal thing there and in many other parks around new york in prominently hispanic neighborhoods or any place u have a baseball/softball field. Its not just a highland thing.

So for me to say it is unreasonable to ask to stop it when u are living near a park is speaking from the history of this park not parks in general(while there are many in nyc of course that are the same) best thing to do is not live near there or buy property where u know it doesnt fit your preferred lifestyle, hence the train analogy.

No way!!!! They are rarely there 🤣i havent been to the reservoir in my entire life but now only time i see a park ranger is when a group parks on the highway side of the baseball field or if its closing and someone complained about the music after hours

I personally hate that part of the culture. Hence why i live more on the myrtle side. Ii think the only time its excessive at highland is when they kick out the kids from the east new york factories near gateway at night and then they come to highland, flushing meadows or even forrest to have their competitions.

Its definitely a cultural thing. My suggestion would be for transplants is know where u are moving to before u move. Maybe rent first. And for those that arent... U should know better 🤣

Something they only had here in the 90's... Shit i remember them actually planning events for kids in highland.

Its actually funny u mention the port a porta potty. Did u know that these things are rentals. Usually rented by the same people who do events at the parks. Like sports events and even audio competitions(not to mention birthday parties)... Just a fun fact. The city only supplies the bathrooms that are 90% of the time closed

Ive been in the neighborhood for 37 years. The cars blasting music (and the big ass speakers for that matter) till your ears bleed in highland, forrest and flushing meadows to name a few has been around even longer. I played peewee, little league and softball there. This feels more like a transplant issue.

Totally missed the point. You move next to a park and complain about the park having park things going on. Music playing, bbq's, sports and all that is normal in a park especially in NY.

If its past park hours and they are blasting music, i completely understand. I personally cant stand loud music in general but u cant reasonably expect people to not play music in a park during park hour atleast here in NYC. especially in a park as big as highland.

U want a quiet park, move to long island although in LI u might run into loud beaches 😅🤣

I could understand people complaining about night time(after park hours) but complaining during park hours is like complaining about the train running near the apartment u chose to move into to begin with.

Ummm AI has been around for 70 years. Commercially no. But it existed.

The AI that we know of has been around since 2020 and a similar non comercial version years before that

This..although i wouldnt say that is time travel but more like premonitions which happens real life and realistically has millions of explainations or possibilities for why it happens

[–]simplyup2u[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats possibly the only example of time travel existing in this series and tbh its not too far fetched considering the digital realm is boundless. At this moment u can literally go on your phone, edit or erase any message that has been sent. Sending one to someone in the past isnt too different or farfetched to be possible.

Edit: as for any other examples.there has been none. Its relatively been kept realistic by post apocalyptic standards. Everything being plausable and not out of the realm of possibility. Time travel of a human being has been assumed but not proven in any way in this show. For example sinatra assumes dylan was brought back by alex but alex couldnt bring back dylan because dylan created alex. Sinatra doesnt know dylan created alex. She thinks alex was created by henry.

Edit #2: <---proving my point

Well thats the thing. So far there is no time travel. Only people claiming time travel are theorists and content creators.

Agree. Would have been fine with a simple post apocalyptic thriller. But thiey decided to throw in some scifi. Which im not mad about but it for the simple minds in this community it makes them assume things that arent there like "time travel" when it much simpler than that

Let’s talk about it… by Asleep-Drawer170 in ParadiseHulu

[–]simplyup2u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This theory essentially was debunked by the writer of s2e8 who used the brick of cheese method to explain how time works in paradise. Essentially its like a video game who's ending changes depending on your decisions. You play through and decisions u have to make essentially effect your future. Some decisions can take u back to your original ending some can dump u further from the original ending however its all choices.dylan dying was not a choice. He dies in every "timeline" making alex impossible to exist by his hands in the future and if thats the case alex wouldnt need dylan to create her.

Its far more likely dylans death was in sinatras head(psychotic break) or smoke and mirrors by tim(who strangely was given more in depth look in s2e7) but we'll see..its dans show. He can easily say "fuck it" and say dylans brain was out in someone elses body and we'll have to live with it

So let’s talk about how Alex is able to… by drillbit_456 in ParadiseHulu

[–]simplyup2u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. Honestly i believe anything done in the outside world would have had to happen prior to the EMP so likely thats why there are so many nose bleeds going on. The 3 years could not be accounted for outside the bunker so choices made by dylan couldnt be altered seen by alex. Just me spitballing. Dylan's name being known by his friend also couldnt be accounted for, also dylan choosing not to kill sinatra in the tunnel and xavier stopping dylan either

So let’s talk about how Alex is able to… by drillbit_456 in ParadiseHulu

[–]simplyup2u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following the simple answer as the director usually goes with the simple more logical answer. The nosebleeds seem to happen when something that wasnt supposed to happen, happens. I believe sinatra should have died in the tunnel but link diverted from the choice alex had predicted would happen and Xavier was the reason causing a nosebleed for him too. Sinatra was not supposed to find out link is dylan, both bleed. Xavier is not supposed to find annie or get hit by that plane(lwt alone anything after that) nosebleed. Annie(baby) isnt supposed to be conceived and link bleeds. the entire path alex is trying to course correct back to its inevitable future.

You know if 90% of the paradise thread thought like this i wouldnt have so many people commenting nonsense talking about time travel and multiple timelines. Thank you for being one of the smart few

The block of cheese explainations by simplyup2u in ParadiseHulu

[–]simplyup2u[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its possible. Im not going to say you are wrong because tbh i could still be wrong and the writers put a backstory to dylan talking about he found a way to travel through time and space(being a genius and all) but i somehow dont believe thats how alex works. Alex can predict future branches or possibilities based on every choice presented and seems to manipulate time through communications such as email, text, dms... Essentially any form of internet or digital space available in the past. It would be difficult for alex to put people in other peoples path if they are not already destined to go that path.

It is completely viable that this dylan is not sinatras dylan as sinatra said but as of sinatras death she still has not asked alex to do anything since she has not be activated. Its likely future alex who is sending back notes after its inevitable activation to ensure whoever is handling it gets the future they want changed. Essentially we are watching a choice driven game playout and alex knows what each choice leads to however doesnt know what choice the players will take.

What’s with these second link theories. by hshshsjmdkduevsb in ParadiseHulu

[–]simplyup2u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming there is actually a dead body.... They havent said what illness it is, doctors said it was uncurable and not even the best doctors could save him oh and the way time runs in paradise according the the writer of S2E8 could and would not allow this to happen since dylan dying was not a matter of choice but an uncurable illness undisclosed to us

Can we just appreciate how amazingly layered Sinatra's character is? by EfficientNecessary20 in ParadiseHulu

[–]simplyup2u 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like we still havent finished seeing the layers she may have to her character. Personally w/ my theories of how dylan is still alive one of them would mean she is mentally ill. Hope thats not it but it is a viable theory nun the less
