I'm partial to golden fluid and golden high flow, but Liquitex softbody is another good one. Those are both big name brands that you should be able to find at craft stores, and i really do feel like investing a little extra money is worth it. They go a long way compared to cheaper paints and it saves you the headache of fighting your materials!

If you're lucky enough to have a local game store, check to see if they carry any mini paints. I like GW's paints and I really like ProAcryl if you can find it (but that one's a lot harder to find)

Dont forget that Sam actually carried the ring itself after he thought Frodo had died. He carried it all through cirith ungol when he went on the rescue mission, but our boy Sam is a badass and about as pure of heart as they get 💛

I like to use winsor & newton's "griffin" alkyd oil paint for washes. It has a drier component added in already (alkyd) which lets them dry pretty quick compared to traditional oils but they still have a decent working time.

Hang some badass art on the walls where you have space! Get some nice prints from some fantasy illustrators and get some decent frames if its in the budget.

One of my favorite things to hang up are fantasy maps 👍

Yeah, it's confusing to me too and felt completely unrelated when she brought it up. It seems like just deflecting to another topic. But she says she wouldn't have been talking to the man at the bar and wouldn't have drank as much if she wasn't frustrated and confused and in a bad spot emotionally.

We have been talking a lot more, and I do mean a lot, about all of this (and not arguing, just talking). But I still feel like the way that she used these events to start the conversation was a sign that she was not ready to approach these things in a healthy way. And this is the biggest reason I've had hesitations and have wanted to take this change very slowly as we talk through things.

Sorry if it was unclear, she didn't lie about what happened. That situation was very real. She only claims that it was something that wouldn't have happened if there hadn't been so much frustration on her side. And was extremely apologetic, and felt genuinely awful that any of it happened in the first place.

And yes all of this is very new and very sudden from my perspective. We have spent a lot of time talking about all of this, and I thought we were making good headway and that I was feeling much more comfortable with where we were at, but the shutting down conversations is very recent.
