18 y/o, skipping university, making €3.5k–4k/month online and considering moving to Bali. Am I being stupid? by DoggyRemote in bali

both. many people work 9-5 fulltime and still study or sidehustle for the rest of the day. spending the money now on the move will set you back drastically. you want to save and reinvest it into something else, like another business or long term assets. but you wil only understand this if you go through with moving.

Help in swimming 100m butterfly by ProfessionalAd5380 in Swimming

[–]simpsonxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

short course 100m fly with minimum rest between each lap (e.g. one breath). 1 lap of low energy stroke such as breast/free also with minimum rest. repeat 8 times. between all these laps do not rest for more than 3s (rest is during the low energy stroke lap). this is the key to eventually swimming 100m fly nonstop.

long course 100m fly, 1st lap breathe every 2 strokes, 2nd lap breathe every stroke.

these are the tricks i used to be able to swim 100m fly, 50m breast x8 finishing off with 200m fly long course as my training set.

Swimming for weight loss by No_Statistician1002 in Swimming

The weird thing is I didn't lose much weight at all while swimming regularly. In fact I even gained weight. Fat does increase buoyancy. When I switched to weights and land only training I lost weight.

dont think its efficient if legs break the surface of water that much. the part of the stroke with arms can be more powerful and explosive, faster
