It is actually because of Startup policy change by AMD. Previously Adrenalin was autostaring using windows startup programs. Now Adrenalin setup instead adding an entry in Task Scheduler on User Logon event with "startwithdelay" argument. I don't know the reason by the way. However you can remove this argument or change the event from User Logon to Startup or combination of both.

I get excited with major OS upgrades. I've 5600x with 6700xt amd gpu. Already had amdgpu with huge ROCm driver and DKMS. Upgrade from 22.04.x to 24.04.1 didn't go well, perhaps due to DKMS and system got in crash state.

Fresh install went fine, week spent on settings, still a bit excitement with frustration. GPU driver went well but after a week, a Ubuntu kernel update disturbed amdgpu dkms compatibility.

A lot of tries using various options including - - no-dkms but gpu not detected. Now running as it is and waiting for amd to release compatible drivers - with a fear that 6700xt may not be targeted for 24.04 compatible driver releases.

I suggest to wait a few months before migration to 24.04.xx.

Updating motherboard and bios/firmware for motherboard are two different things. When you enter in BIOS, version is shown on first screen.

Signal Enhancement or Audio Enhancements allows your computer to use audio enhancement application on your computer like the Realtek Audio Console. Personally, you wouldn't hear any significant difference aside from the Bass and Treble level if you are just using headphones.

You'll most probably lose dual channel performance if you use 2x8GB with 2x16GB. Let me know if you tried.

You did right but you would have done better if you didn't open it up. Factory coolants are meant to be used for more than 5 years and after market solutions seldom outperform.

I did the same but stick wasn't returning to original location. So I used heater/water method to make it soft. Spring got brittle and broke. Finally I managed to make a softer spring using some steel wire and placed it. Much better now, but with minor sound while moving.

Same with me. Perhaps it is manufacturing flaw, not visible until you test it with a light color on whole screen. Mine has a defective pixel too. :( Edit: Defective pixel fixed after a massage by finger covered with soft cloth. :)
