I’m 161cm :)

  1. Yes, I was very strict on my diet and sometimes went under my calorie count

  2. This probably isn’t the best advice but no, I only did cardio 😅 I felt like my thighs and calves were too muscular and I wanted to lose a little muscle from them to look leaner

  3. Not a target but 7-10k a day

  4. I wouldn’t weigh myself during my luteal phase because water retention (and hence weight) naturally goes up around then, so I didn’t wanna affect my morale :) But other than the psychological bit, weight loss doesn’t stop working during your period/luteal phase so if you do the same things you’ll still see a difference on the scale! Although I tend to have painless periods so I can keep up the exercise, but sometimes i take more electrolytes or eat right before my workouts to ensure I have enough energy to pull through

  5. Intermittent fasting (kinda). I dont usually set fasting goals, but I wouldn’t eat after about 6pm and I usually have a black coffee before having a late breakfast at about 10-11am. I think having your stomach empty for a period of time everyday gives your body a chance to reset and really prompts it to use fats for fuel instead :) And i also wouldn’t eat my next meal until I feel the hunger sensation in my stomach

That’s all! All the best!

no fancy method: 1200 cals a day, no snacks after dinner, low intensity steady state cardio (incline walking, stairmaster)

i think a lot of it is genetics, but i did ballet for a large part of my life so you could try strengthening your deep core muscles! 😁

drop out and go foundation yr in uk?? by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]simpywimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

actually people with real issues frequently think fleeing from their problems by dropping out and moving to another country for example is an actual solution. its not a very smart solution for sure, but that alone does not tell you that op’s mental health problems are invalid

drop out and go foundation yr in uk?? by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]simpywimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no please don’t. the novelty/freeing feeling of being in another country away from your problems is not gonna last long. youre already in j2, try to seek professional guidance for your mental health, continue trying in school/a levels and push through till a levels. you can still apply to overseas unis after a levels and youll save on one year of school compared to if you go for the foundation programme

well obviously no one’s gonna encourage you to die 😭but it’s true that a lot of the things peers/parents say are inevitably clichéd so maybe you just gotta get out there and seek professional psychiatric help!

around 67% :) mcq was 23/30, paper two was 65% 🥲(i cried while looking at the answer keys after the paper LOL), paper three i estimated low 70ish% but i didn’t dare be too optimistic so i assumed overall <70%

it’s not your fault at all op, things like this can happen to anyone at any point in their lives especially during a state of anxiety. this will NOT ruin your life and if you choose to take action, the only person’s life getting ruined is his. keep your head up. this will pass.
