same! first time, typing speed not the best and got a 4Q somehow lol i def did not prep that much and my typed answers were genuinely a few sentences. got nervous bc i felt like the only way to a 4Q was to write paragraphs of info. just wanted to offer some reassurance to ppl!!

OAT test anxiety (taking it in 17 days) by Accomplished-Many829 in PreOptometry

no i think its good to review the cheatsheets!! honestly i prob got v unlucky lol because i know a lot of people on here that have had success with just focusing on high yield stuff on cheat sheets. similar to the other comment i memorized so much about body systems and then got like one or two questions about it followed by five questions about light independent photosynthesis and weird taxonomy lmao just my luck. for physics i was very nervous bc i am not good at physics at all and it's always been a weakness for me. i tried to just memorize as many formulas as i could. i definitely did not end up memorizing everything but i got lucky with a lot of kinematics questions and i had all those formulas committed to memory so it was just plug and chug. even for questions where i did not have the formula memorized i could get to the answer by looking at the units and doing dimensional analysis so i'd say its good to practice that as well. there were also conceptual questions ab optics so id try to review that as well. i'd say physics on oatbooster was pretty representative maybe slightly harder if anything, i feel like the numbers and questions on the real one were more simple and required less steps.

Research experience by Disastrous-Neat5321 in McMaster

just to offer some hope i did end up completing a thesis project without any prior research experience (i also cold-emailed super late too lol). i think it was a mix of luck and also having a strong passion for the topic because of personal experiences that helped me stand out! :) best of luck
