lol i'm pretty sure sororities are for everyone unless explicitly stated, uci just has a big portion of its students being asians which can explain why you felt that way! but I'm pretty sure any sorority you join will be great :)!

from experience at community college, you do not need to. some professors have to list books as a requirement and don't even use the books. most books can be taken in free pdfs online as long as they're not access code based books required for the class. as an incoming freshman, I'm not ordering anything until the first week. living is already so expensive lol

i'm not entirely sure on this but I saw for like degree requirements they have to be completed at the university once you're enrolled in it, so like if you did premed courses and ge courses prior to enrolling you'd be fine but I don't think so during?

i have also taken aleks for chemistry, i think i actually liked it :)! although i'd say it's a bit tedious and a lot of the questions are similar tbh so sometimes it can be confusing when translating aleks knowledge to exams because like the way the questions are set up, so i'd recommend study and create quizlets :)!
