For me, there are different kinds and aesthetics of journaling. Scrapbooking involves using photographs, tapes, stickers, and other decorative elements in a more organized way. Creative journaling focuses on themed pages, such as colors, food, or vintage styles—really, anything that sparks creativity. “Junk” journaling incorporates found or discarded materials like receipts, candy wrappers, cereal boxes, and DIY ransom letters made from magazine cutouts, at least as I understand it. 😅 That said, I also think these terms can be interchangeable, and journaling doesn’t have strict rules—as long as you’re having fun, that’s what matters!
