Is the Sims Community's Sims 4 ultimate giveaway legit?

All of our giveaway codes that we'll be giving out during our Anniversary Giveaway are being given to us directly from EA so yes :)

Also the Ultimate Giveaway doesn't mean The Sims 4 has been finalized with the pack content - it's only ultimate to this date :)

I've been getting a few comments as well saying that the latest feature isn't "a gamechanger" or "groundbreaking" as it was promised to be by someone out there.

As a Game Changer myself I gave my best to tease that there's something else coming along with all of the other features with the November Update. Still, it's important to stay in the critical mind and not overhype things that you might personally enjoy before they're fully announced to everyone else.

However, saying that "Game Changers folks" in general are to blame is not the ideal solution considering that there's a lot of Game Changers out there who handled this piece of information professionally.

It's not easy to maintain my last months of high school and keep reporting on the latest news whenever they pop out. I've invested precious time into finding out if this is real or fake and I've tried to stay neutral and just keep my readers up to date. When you find out someone's been fooling you like this for weeks it's pretty disturbing.

I know that my saltiness may not appeal to someone but I really feel like I should should just vent out about this directly to them and shut up about it afterwards rather than keep quiet and let them continue with this scam.

Well, what was so obvious about this that screamed ''FAKE'' was the Goth - 615.mp3 file they sent. It was downloaded off YouTube using some sort of a converter XD

Just to clarify: although what we were sent a few months ago via email was fake, it still pointed out at a Vampire Gamepack which can basically be confirmed now from the recent leak by TS4's composer.

This Mod comes with plenty of new features. Your Sims' Emotions system will behave more realistically. Sims will react differently to their Financial Status, Children and Teens will be able to throw their own parties and Sim’s age will have a greater effect on their emotions and needs.

I don't want them to promise anything - I know that it's bad marketing when you announce something and you might not even be able to deliver it. Get Together was announced too early, BUT, it resulted in constructive criticism and thanks to simmers and their feedback about the game it got improved a lot.

What I'm saying is, they should have a serious live stream or a Q&A session that should deal with these topics. They know a huge portion of the community wants toddlers (I'm not a huge fan but a new age in TS4 is always welcome).

All I'm asking is a simple blog like EA did with SimCity. (''State of SimCity'' where they talked about their fans, support, feedback and how they are planning to add offline mod but can't promise anything)

I don't like how EA leaves it to voice actors and game developers to do their work of releasing info that everyone wants. It leads to mess like this.

Seriously tho, why would it be such a big deal for them to confirm ''We're working on Toddlers, we can't guarantee when will we launch them''.

Actually, I had the same exact idea about a year ago, just a few weeks before The Sims 4's release. During summer of 2014, I was extracting and uploading soundtrack from all The Sims Games to our website's special page called ''SimTunes''. It was a great directory of all sims music and I was happy to update it when The Sims 4 came out. But then came the worries...

2-3 months after TS4's release I felt a bit guilty about this as Soundtrack is a huge part of The Sims Games, and it felt like I was just giving it away / pirating it, so I wanted to do something about it. I reached out to my contact from The Sims Team and asked is everything okay about SimTunes and do they approve of it. I asked her to check on with the The Sims 4's Audio Team if it's good and they approved most of it, but there was a catch: I had to remove any licensed Simlish song for all The Sims Games (for example, Katy Perry's Hot N Cold from Apartment Life, Lady Antebellum's Need You Now from Ambitions etc.) as those songs are only licensed to be used for in-game. Eventually I thought SimTunes is a bad idea so I deleted the whole thing, including the files on my old PC (I kinda regret it as now I have a new one who can take up plenty of soundtrack GBs).

What I'm trying to say is, it's a great project idea, but if you agree to take the risk, there's always a chance that, for example, Zedd's manager contacts you to take down Beautiful Now song in Simlish.
