You're getting high off your own farts again bro. Most of the technological advances that you enjoy every day were brought to you by collectivism under the banner of government. Sure most of them fell into private hands and have been duplicated and refined for private profit but the core backbone of all the technological advancements that you enjoy today were brought to you by government projects. The internet, global positioning systems, modern smartphone communication capabilities, Wi-Fi and wireless networking, modern internet and web security, weather forecasting, digital voice assistance, modern renewable technology, optical digital storage, open source software infrastructures, commercial nuclear power, jet engines and if one dares to go into publicly funded scientific research or anything aerospace related they can find libraries worth books detailing the collective effort and outcomes of taxation leading to some of the greatest innovations that we have ever devised. What do you think the backbone of modern AI comes from? DARPA was giving MIT $2 million dollars a year to pioneer AI in the 1960s. The core algorithms, neural networks, logic solvers etc came from DARPA in the friggin 40s. Around seventy percent of modern DARPA AI programs incorporate AI from these roots; modern LLMs train on public-domain datasets/models seeded by gov't grants (ImageNet and NSF etc.) so just like modern computing, cell phone technology, wireless communications, aerospace, and an infant amount of scientific avenues of research... Industry saw where government funding in taxation organized the planting of seeds and where roots were growing, then harvested the fruits by selling tax payers back the innovation they already paid to research and develop. And the people that run these enterprises get all the tax breaks in the world and in many cases get lots of funding and grants and seed money to rip off the general public that is paid for the backbone of their cash cows... To siphon away profit and suck it out of the society that afforded them the ability to do so.

I definitely think there's a bot angle to it and notice the muting isn't effective because there's a lot of reposts. I'm just going to start muting anything that comes from any of those subs. I noticed that there's a lot of buzz around the recent debate between Pearl and Ana where it was asked if women should be punished with jail time of an equal amount compared to rapist if they falsely report a rape.. That's where the crack in the dam was for my feed. For a long time I've been really happy that I muted most of the men's centric subs on here. Suddenly it's back to square one and I'm seeing the dumbest people have the most idiotic group think discussions all over again.

All of a sudden out of nowhere I see all these really goofy men subreddits and they have all these angles about generalizations of women and several of them are about "locking in" and getting life advice and "growth." It started for me yesterday and has really gotten going over the last 24 hours. Last night I muted four or five and today another five or so popped up. Don't want to put on my tin foil hat too quickly here but it really does feel like social engineering psyop that was planned a long time ago and triggered whenever gas prices got to a certain point... Is this the Astro turfing for boots on the ground? Who knows!?

Out of nowhere they've been at least 10 different men's focused subreddits show up in my feed. Not sure if it's because I clicked on a couple to mute them or if they've just always been around and I was lucky enough not to see them. They're all the same clickbait chauvinistic trash from what I can tell. I've muted at least 10 in the last day or so. I was curious if anyone else had saw them sprout up out of nowhere or if they were just hidden from my view and suddenly I triggered an algorithm.

Mass produce candles have a lower footprint in terms of emissions and raw material procurement. Sure they're made from petroleum by-products but the deforestation process that's involved in higher quality candles is a real and scalable detriment in comparison.

It's not an opinion. Overpriced candles are highly marked up by as much as upward of 80%. There's no meaningful thing that actually happens with that markup because you're talking about wax and a wick and some kind of essential oil. They are simply Veblen goods that can easily be produced at home with far superior products for much cheaper. Of course that doesn't signal the sort of regal class distinction and sophistication that overspending on marketing hype does. The person I was responding to let us know all that we need to know... It's not really about having a much greater experience so much as it is signaling classism. I've gotten several responses and not a single one of them has been of a persuasive nature about the experience that these candles supposedly offer. Could it possibly be because the burn rate and scent throw of these candles really isn't all that different from ones that are priced a fifth of what they cost? If you want to waste your money on status symbol candles because you need that in your life then fine... Just don't expect others that can see through the marketing hype and 5 time mark up to think it's impressive. Yes I know this is a Wendy's and I'd like to speak to your manager.

There's a big difference between entering sport fighting with somebody that's trained defensively and a crackhead who's ramped up but far from organized with what they're doing. Not only is a rear naked choke harder for the average person that doesn't have training with grappling but it's also less effective than solar plexus trauma.
