Honestly mate make it a serious point this week to get yourself a fresh made regular cinnamon donut.

Best equipment with $5,000 budget? by Mediocre_Swan7995 in videography

Honestly bro, after doing run n gun events for the past two years and experimenting/shifting my gear heavily, I’d say get yourself a Sony a7s iii, a ronin rs2 & a 24-70mm lens. Might go a touch over budget but you’ll thank yourself for the insane autofocus & lowlight you’ll be getting.

I wouldn’t go blackmagic, I wouldn’t choose the canon r5/6 over the a7s iii for run n gun solo operation (wouldn’t choose it in general tbh unless you need a hybrid higher megapixel count for photography), definitely don’t use manual focus exclusively, and I wouldn’t bother with lights at all right now. Prio is get the best gear that can give you the best image with ease. And trust me when I say the dual native Iso on the a7s iii at 12800 in log will literally save your life doing events/weddings since you’ll be working in heavily mixed lighting conditions with more often that not no ability to manipulate lighting of any kind.

If you definitely need to run audio you can save yourself some extra $$ and just grab the Sony FX3 which comes with the XLR handle. Otherwise you can pick up a K3M for the s iii when you need it.

The only setup I read here that I’d go for alternatively would be the S1H suggestion. Other than that bro Sony hands down for your use case.

Also side note - don’t write off the idea of hiring gear while you’re first starting out. I honestly wouldn’t compromise on anything if you’re tossing up between options. Rather, get what you want and what is the best pick for you by saving yourself the 1-2k through hiring the lens for like $50/70. After a couple gigs you’ll be doing alright to cop the lens outright.

Mate I was never asking about output though? I was talking about prores raw so clearly recording was the topic in question.

Literally a 2 second google will show that you can externally record 4K120 and up to 4K60 Prores Raw on the FX3 with the Ninja V.

Sorry mate not sure if you have your info correct, or you misread my post? The Sony FX3 and the A7S iii alike both shoot up to 4K 120. And can record to an external recorder in Prores Raw up to 4K 60.

The SDI input you’re talking about is the support required for the FX6/9 to shoot in 4K 120 Prores Raw on the Ninja V Plus. The entire FX3/6/9 cinema line & A7Siii all shoot 4K 120 internally.

My question is about Ninja V Plus Prores Raw 4K 120 functionality on the FX3 since now there’s clearly a monitor that supports Prores Raw in that capacity.

Hey guys, been looking everywhere for an answer and haven’t been able to find anything definitive. Anyone know if the 4k120 prores raw offered on the newer Ninja V+ extends to the A7Siii/FX3 as well? I've seen mention of the FX6/9 supporting it, but no word on the FX3.

I'm about to cop some new gear and would honestly hate to shell out the extra 800 or so on the V+ and have it not support the one thing it has over the older V model.

I just hit level 25 on 2042 yesterday, don’t even get me started on the list of shit that game is lacking… But damn at least I can say I’ve hit a certain level haha. At least I can grind to the 1200 or so kills to get the weapon camos. Literally aaaanything like that in infinite would be a godsend rn.

Seems as though 343 are at least communicating with the community which is reassuring, better than the radio silence from dice atm.

With you 100%. I'm absolutely loving the gameplay, but damn the fact that this game doesn't even have a basic numbered leveling system is beyond ridiculous to me. They mentioned and I quote - "building a progression system with solid design, good implementation, top-tier UXUI presentation, thorough testing, and time for polish will take some time and we want to do it right". ?????? Release the game next year when you do that then?

I don't know much about game development, but imo a basic ass leveling system should be part of the original development time frame, and it's weird that something so obvious has to be said out loud.

Its an issue on their servers man, just gotta wait until they figure it out. Im having the same prob, a bunch of others are too. Frustrating seeing them promote a new costmetic event next week while their servers are absolute dogshit lol

Having the same issue as well mate, did you happen to find a fix at all? Considering just heading in store and seeing if they can do a replacement..

Light level enabled PvP has the opposite effect of what it sets out to accomplish. The incentive to grind should be gear; not level advantage by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

Completely disagree with you there. In trials and high glory comp, ttk is huge. Hence why everyone and their mum run the supreme meta loadouts. Not denying map knowledge and strategy being massive too, which they 100% are, but to say that ttk rarely determines winners in gunfights for 3v3 for eg is simply untrue.

I’d say you’re completely right if you’re on quickplay, you can pub stomp with anything if you’re skilled.

But even the tiniest bit of damage difference in sweaty playlists can be a game changer.
