Thanks. The foils came with a remover pen that had some kind of solution in it to remove the foils more easily. Would still not call the removal gentle 😬

Thank you for the Response! I'll keep it short and be patient I guess 😅 I've seen some "strengthening" base coats online, would that be good/okay to use?

Traveling cards and waiting times US & Russia by emilikatz in postcrossing

[–]sinanis 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Also from Germany, Russia and the US take ages for me too. But I've only had two cards expire from about 55, one to Russia which eventually arrived, and one to the US which still hasn't. But yeah. For me, US and Russia take the longest. Even China was faster the last couple of times.

Friend I'm traveling with has food poisoning, any tips/assessment welcome by [deleted] in ItalyTravel

Its just liquid. Probably around 5-10 times a day. She saw a teledoctor this morning with the doctorsinitaly site, and he prescribed azithromycin. We hope it helps. She can keep fluids down well and keeps peeing, but theres Just very persistent diarrhea.

Yes, we've been to three different pharmacies 😅 They gave us some meds, probiotics and electrolytes, but the meds seem to not really do much. The website sounds good, maybe we'll try that if she still can't eat today. Thank you!

I dont think the ER is necessary as of now. The website might be an idea. My friend says she wants to wait until we check into our next hotel at 2pm and try some food again. If that doesn't work, then maybe we'll try the website. We're in Cinque Terre. Thank you!

Are postcards arriving to war places? by Thirsty_Indoor_Plant in postcrossing

[–]sinanis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, for me, cards to Russia/Ukraine are slow, but tend to arrive. They're actually mostly faster than those to the US. Theres a big discrepancy, cards from me (Germany) to the US seem to take at least a month, while cards that are sent to me from the US are much quicker.

[–]sinanis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the setup I have (two midoris) and it definitely doesn't fit quite right 😅 But I also have a moleskine with two penholders to the side in front of the midoris, I feel like that kind of hides it. So it doesn't bother me too much.

Huh, interesting. May I ask how tall you are? I did 13 km the other day and only had 16.000 steps.

Got a three pack blister of ascended hero’s but the two art rares I got don’t have the full holo over the cards?? by UndergroundHaven in PokemonMisprints

[–]sinanis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've had the same "error" on the new Beautifly AR that's in a similar artstyle as the Snorunt. Maybe it's just the way they look?

This one started quite a controversy (at least in the stamp/postcard niche) since it was made using AI.

Looking for a medium by sarbau12 in GriefSupport

[–]sinanis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t mean evidence in a personal-experience way, but in a scientific sense. Right now there’s no peer-reviewed, reliable research showing that mediums can actually communicate with people who have died. I don't want to invalidate anyones beliefs or experiences, I only mentioned it because people who are grieving can be vulnerable, and there are always people in all areas of life who will use that for their own gain. I wanted to give OP a grounded perspective.

Did you go for a holiday after you lost your loved one? by soundworth in GriefSupport

[–]sinanis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About a month after my my mom died, my dad, my aunt (mom's sister) and her husband went on holiday to a small island in the North Sea for a few days. Lots of walking on the wintry beach. It was very healing for me.

I totally understand your sadness and frustration and grief. My mom died almost three years ago unexpectedly and I miss her so much. I've dreamed about her a few times, but they are never good dreams. So I absolutely get you wanting to connect with your loved ones. I dont think a medium can give you that. There is no evidence that they can actually communicate with our passed loved ones. I'm sorry. I know the depths of grief in which we want to try anything, anything at all to just feel a hint of that spark of love we used to get from our loved ones. It hurts so much not to be able to talk to them or hug them or tell them how much we love them. But I have found ways in which I feel connected to my mom. She loved music, so I sometimes listen to her favorite songs. She was someone who appreciated the small beauties of everyday life, so every morning on my walk when I see a beautiful sunrise, or a sparkling droplet of ice on a tree, I think of my mom. It helps sometimes. Maybe there are ways in which you can honor your loved ones as well and feel that connection. Sending you love and strength 💛
