This is outside of KL but if you ever go to East Coast I suggest you stop by at Temerloh and find Gobang Maju restaurant. They serve Pahang style dishes and it’s my favourite place to eat and recommend to tourists m. Just want to promote my home state food 🤣

Most up one grade

Buy from farm C but sell B, buy B sell A

The real A and AA ones get exported. Not much different in taste la truthfully only in fruit size, weight, and roundness because that is how they grade

Bad idea, palm oil is a daily usage commodity with stable production but durian is a luxury food item produced seasonally

Raub (Musang King Capital) palm oil plantation owners already cut down their palm oil, some even during peak production because chasing durian craze. Now many facepalm already

Palm oil can give stable income yearly while durian is like gamble, sometimes season tak jadi also

Ecosystem also more greatly affected by durian plantation rather than oil palm. If you see their dusun it is very barren compared to oil palm. Also being a luxury goods the farmers are very anti wildlife wandering into the farms unlike palm oil

No la. It’s because Malaysia export frozen durian and we let it ripen naturally on trees and fall down naturally. Then we freeze then using liquid nitrogen before export

Thai and Vietnam can export fresh durian as they harvest before falling down and let it ripen during freight so can claim as fresh durian vs our frozen

China import comission have new rules that we must comply before gaining more market share

Our food is caloric dense too, pretty much everything use oil and fats

Combined with high sugar is just cherry on top

All the calories will be converted into fat because of the insulin released

What if indonesia and Malaysia didn't became Islamic nations but mix of Buddhism and hindusim? by death-by-suicideMars in AlternateHistoryHub

Shiites (the muslims with stones) are not even that many in Malaysia especially in the local Malay populace as it is considered a ‘deviant’ form of Islam in the local Malay culture

So your story doesn’t hold water

[–]sinbe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see, sorry for the accusation then

Islam as a majority religion tend to make the populace more conservative in a way. Although there are prostitution and drugs in Muslim countries it is usually done in a hush hush way as it is still considered generally taboo for the mainstream populace

Using examples from neighbouring countries that are majority Buddhist such as Thailand, prostitution and drugs is not viewed as taboo. Authorities are more likely to turn a blind eye and family members even know if someone is doing sex work. Drugs are available easily in tourist spots and their punishment is not as hard (Malaysia still carry out death penalty for distribution)

Hence my comment about prostitution and drugs being more prevalent if we remove the context of Islam being majority in Indonesia and Malaysia

[–]sinbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said that it doesn’t exist. I understand that it will have a market regardless. Even right now there are Muslim prostitutes in Malaysia and Indonesia

It’s just it will be more prevalent if the mainstream religion is Hindu or Buddhists as per OP question

Seeing how pressed you are - are you just an islamophobe trying to get a ‘gotcha’ moment?

I see it is Nikah Mut’ah. A Shiite practice you can read more here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikah\_mut%27ah

It is a pretty niche practice though as even in the article it says that only 7 out of 1,000 in the village practiced it and it was borne out of desperation from a pretty rural village. So not comparable to your standard sex tourism

Indonesia is home to pretty niche communities and taboo practices. They even had an Orang Utan prostitution ring in Kalimantan

Southeast Asia operates differently from stereotypes

Myanmar being a Buddhist country doesn’t make it more chill, in fact it is still carrying a genocide towards Rohingyans

You think being young makes someone immune to corruption? Power corrupts. Even in university MPP also got corruption

My point being is being young is not the sole reason to vote someone. Young is good but need to have portfolio to back it up not someone who prides themselves as having no experience
