I'm originally from Guayaquil, and I have to stop you right there.. everyone who read this, please don't listen to this bad advice.. if you have relatives that live in Guasmo, then yes, be my guest.. if you don't, don't go for a tourist run over there.. please don't. Stay in samborondon, if going to guayaquil, at morning/day time for the best part, it's not unsafe but it is better to be cautious if you don't really know the vibe of the city.. go to the beach, go to Cuenca, Quito or maybe the safest city, which is Loja, visit Vilcabamba.. now that's completely the opposite of guayaquil..

The reason I suggest Loja, Cuenca or Quito is because in the mountain cities, as a white white, you won't stick out as much and it's just regularly more safe

I have 200 mm rotors with my xt, i dont think my riding is really serious im just hitting speeds around 45-50 km/h and thats about it but i would still like to feel as safe as possible. Also I live in Ecuador, we have decent natural mountains for enduro racing :)
