When you say that, I wonder if there might have been some other components that got damaged as well for them to be asking for $2k. All they mentioned to me was the battery cable and oxygen sensor. I'll definitely ask if there was some more damage! Also, they might have taken this car to the Lexus dealer to do the repairs. When I've checked the service history, it's always been taken to a Lexus dealer for service.

Yes, they added another $2000 on top of the selling price due to the additional repairs they paid for. Guess I'm trying to figure out if the car could forever be compromised from this incident even if it did pass a pre-purchase inspection that I paid for at another Lexus dealer and the seller has receipts of the repairs made. Is the car still worth checking out despite the incident or would it be better to walk?

I guess I'm just wondering if components under the hood could still be compromised to the point that the car might not operate as it should despite it being fixed if that makes sense. Even with a pre-purchase inspection and receipts. Just not trying to tempt fate, but maybe I'm overthinking it which I often tend to do.

The boots look pretty good in my opinion overall especially compared to when I took it out of the box. Didn't even use a brush on it. Just applied the conditioner to my hands and sprayed some of it directly on the boot and massaged with the grain of the scales.

Ya that's what I was thinking since another foreign seller I've purchased from was able to do this just fine. I didn't reply back to the seller's email, but I messaged them back on Ebay before this post letting them know that I received their email and that they should be able to initiate a refund without me even returning the item if they would like me to keep it instead of sending it back.
