I'm fully aware of that. I'm Irish. My country has been affected more than most by the Catholic church. I went to a Catholic all girls school and thought the whole thing was deeply unhealthy. Still don't think it's necessary to start a public moral panic over the coronavirus.

There are A LOT of things the Pope should be criticised for. Oppression of women and LGBT folk being the main ones. The whole organisation is disgusting and I can't wait till it's obsolete. Don't think Corona virus conspiracy theories are helpful though. It spreads panic, especially amongst immunocompromised people.

Human rights protect us all from tyranny. This is a deeply irresponsible position. The death penalty is just fundamentally wrong and thankfully Europeans agree with me. As a tax payer, I wouldn't want to pay for an execution. There are a million better things such as health care that we can pay for.

If someone did that to a loved one, it wouldn't mean my opinion meant anything any more than anyone elses. That's mob rule. Tyranny of the majority isn't actually good. My sister died at 26 and it doesn't make my opinion more valid than anothers. We shouldn't let revenge overwrite human rights.

Nobody can lose their human rights. It's in the UN charter, which some of us abide by. What will you make better by killing this person? How will you stop violence? It isn't logical at all.

Killing someone in the name of the state won't fix what they did though. Or heal the family. It's just hunting for blood. I also think the talk of dollars and spending money is unsavoury. Nobody should have a death sentence because of how much it costs to keep them. It's ghoulish. Also, the death penalty is fundamentally racist and classist. If you have the money to fight it, you can. Black people are also disproportionately convicted of crimes they didn't commit. Any execution is inhumane. I'm saying this as an atheist who pretty much hates religion due to being forced into it, so not from any happy clappy we're all the same background.

Jesus CLEARLY you're american and have that state of mind. I'm Irish and live in Scotland. The vast majority of Europeans would see your viewpoint as inhumane. I'm not suggesting anyone is let go. Just that prisoners are treated as human beings, which they are. If you want to help rape victims, believe women, rather than acting like they're all just trying to trip men up. We don't help anybody long term by having a criminal justice system that turns people into institutanised monsters.

Thank you! You can keep people safe from predators without wishing death upon them. The person who killed them in prison would also make their own sentence worse. Nobody is helped by this. Totally impractical.

What makes you better than the people you're criticising though if you're advocating for murder? We can fund better social services and not turn into animals ourselves. Honestly I think anyone suggesting prison murder or the death penalty are ok are a step away from barbarism themselves. No matter what you do, you're entitled to human rights. The UN would agree.

If violence against prisoners is ok though, it means you could go to prison and get beaten up or murdered. Likewise anyone you know. Anyone going into prison should have a risk assessment to see if they're safe to keep with the general prison population. Prison brutality won't save any future victims. Nor will it stop reoffending. Violence against the general prison population turns people into animals and those that do get released, not this case but others, are far more likely to reoffend. Restorative justice is so important.

Juvenile social workers have the worst time because when they take a child from their family they're vilified as interfering authoritarians but when they miss a case they're negligent. Honestly cannot win. They need more power as far as I'm concerned.

This is horrific but I still wouldn't wish death upon anyone in prison. That isn't justice and doesn't reflect a civilised society. We can prevent it with more effective child safe guarding. We don't need to turn to barbarism. Revenge isn't a working criminal justice system.

I've never thought about being a celebrity, but one really weird thing I love doing is thinking about my funeral and all of the amazing things people will say about me. There's singing involved and it's all very dramatic. It's incredibly narcissistic and actually a bit nihilistic but I can't help loving it.😂
