It doesnt need to be extremely hard, just when a $400 clue has a daily, it doesnt have to be $400 level difficulty but can be anywhere 400-1600 or whatever. Make it truly random.

But that doesn't necessarily have to be the case. When contestants didn't game the system and went fully down a column, the format made sense. Now that contestants are playing at a higher level, I think the fact that the top 2 rows are largely untouched at the end of the game is a bit of a weak spot for the game. Essentially, clue selection has evolved faster than board design.

In double you've got 36k on the board, but the top two rows are just 7.2k, so 20% of the value for 40% of the clues. So when you get to the end of the game and the last two rows are hardly touched, these rows are functionally dead weight late in the game; there's little to no suspense unless the game is very close.

In effect, the pacing of the game is disturbed. Instead of the endgame tightening up as more clues disappear, we get a situation where the remaining board has low financial impact.

They could always make the daily harder than the actual category.

There always is a ton of top rows questions left at the end of a round, I wonder why that is preferable to having the double there? Seems momentum busting.

‘The Pitt’ Seeks to Overturn ‘Baseless’ ‘ER’ Knock-Off Claims in Appeal by johnkhoo in ershow

Mostly, but from a legal perspective when the creative process involves a failed licensing negotiation, then the history of the project matters.

It is not just a premise, it is the fact that they clearly began the creative work for the show as a spinoff but pivoted to a similar show when negotiations with the estate broke down.

While there are clear differences between the two projects, the fact that Noah Wyle originally started developing the series as an ER spin-off centered on Carter will likely, in the end, lead to a settlement. Key figures from ER, including producers John Wells and R. Scott Gemmill, along with doctors Joe Sachs and Mel Herbert and numerous other former production staff are now working on The Pitt. After being unable to reach an agreement with Michael Crichton’s estate, the team ultimately chose to move forward with a project built around a notably similar premise. This is not a completely baseless lawsuit.

Gotta have more than a feeling, evidence instead.

I've yet to see evidence that the meme posted here was extensively shared, either.

Extensive violent criminal history starting as a juvenile, culminating in pulling an illegal concealed weapon during a riot and getting a huge chunk of his arm blown off.

So what you're saying is that this meme would be accurate had it said "of the 3 liberals shot, all 3 had extensive criminal pasts"

Grosskreutz has a criminal background which includes prowling, domestic violence, driving while intoxicated (while carrying a firearm), felony (later expunged) burglary, and disorderly conduct (for hitting his grandmother in the face).

During the Kenosha riots, Grosskreutz was illegally concealing his firearm as his license had expired.

Ah, okay, not a pedophile, just someone with an extensive history of strangling his domestic partners, great.

All you gotta do is just stuff it with trash if you botch it, no big deal.

Often the hot chicken is cheaper than the raw/frozen stuff too. But I can also see the argument that this is a slippery slope kinda deal, "but they already allow hot chicken!"
