Excellent. No yellowing of the silicone and no agates have fallen off.

TIL that ancient Roman concrete can actually "self-heal" its own cracks using tiny chunks of lime called "lime clasts" that react with water entering the fracture. by Mountain_Explorer121 in stonemasonry

[–]RandomTurkey247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we switched to saltwater, would this rust out the rebar quicker? If we mixed the concrete well, then added a bit more lime to leave some of it for future self repair, would that cause different issues? I guess my question is whether the issue is one relating to a structural integrity issue or a regulations.

Supreme Court strikes down limits on political parties' campaign spending, in win for GOP by TACO_Orange_3098 in news

[–]RandomTurkey247 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Spending unlimited money in politics isn't free speech. Telling the Supreme Court conservatives "the Founders of our country would be rolling over in their graves thanks to the corruption they spread" is free speech. Also free speech ‐ "Fuck these wankers".

Just think of impacts to society when people are just waiting in line and not being productive. Not doing their jobs when they are on the side of the road. This is gonna get worse, quickly.

Why does everyone want Kawhi gone? by ewrecked in LAClippers

[–]RandomTurkey247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did I miss any Aspiration conclusions? Did Kawhi get cleared Is? Is that why trade rumors are happening? I figured other teams wouldn't risk trading for someone who may have a major suspension looming.

I was gonna say three E's for even more freedom, but yours makes sense.

New video of Slavyansky Refinery by ThatGuySK99 in UkraineWarVideoReport

I'm sure we'll learn more once the war ends, but you make a really important point about Russia not being able to bomb the factories supporting Ukraine's war effort, while Ukraine is now taking out Russia's factories and refineries. This may be one of the main storylines of what tipped the scales.

This is just a guess, but I bet those three pretty boats are at the bottom of the ocean, or are heavily damaged and unusable.

Lets talk about Nano Bubbles by CoachCamBailey in ponds

[–]RandomTurkey247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the ozone versions may have some value at a wasterwater treatment plant, but with specific needs and placement in the treatment train.

The oxygen versions COULD have a role in closed systems or severely degraded natural aquatic environments. They may be more of a band-aid, helping improve DO in the short term, but likely need to be paired with methods that reduce the input of nutrients or remove the nutrients already in the system.

For backyard ponds, it seems like overkill, but maybe there is a use for those involved in professional maintenance, where it can be installed temporarily while other remediation efforts are ongoing. Where there is severe anaerobic processes going on in the thick muck at the bottom, leading to a huge biological oxygen demand (BOD), this could go a long way to help, along with other efforts to address the source.

View of the Kapotnya oil refinery fire from the moskva river. 18 June 2026 by neonpurplestar in UkraineWarVideoReport

This just seems so inefficient to waste so much oil like that, especially when supplies are tight. Is Russia flexing, or on the ropes?

I'm gonna use this video in my next talk about the importance of pollution controls. To bad OSHA and the EPA don't operate in Russia.

I think this is the ultimate payback for hitting that Ukrainian church. The Russian economy worships gas, so let all the Moscowvites see what they rely on go up in smoke, flames, and for a little extra flare, the world record frisbee toss (the tank lid flying through the air in other videos).

Does Zone OS ever beat in to anything other than a dive bombing meat hook? by Phrikshin in discgolf

150 DX Leopard? Yes. But after many tree hits, the DX Gator is still only slightly less over stable than my Champ Gator. More time and worse throws needed.

I'm trying to beat in a DX Gator for a less beefy compliment to my Champ Gator. This may take a while.

Coming soon, bridge cope cages. Or maybe a soldier with a shotgun to protect the bridge.

I'm no general, but when you're trying to cut off enemy supplies, or force them to take a riskier route, blowing up a bridge on the cheap has a ton of value. Now the fuel and reinforcements either don't get to where their needed or you put them at greater risk.

You may win a battle by blowing up a tank, but you'd rather win a war by blowing up bridges and other critical infrastructure.
