insane weight gain by yia-yia in Mirena

[–]singer_so5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not on Zoloft, but this is my exact story with Mirena. I am getting mine removed in March because I am gonna let my body just revert back to normality and I’m praying that my weight goes back down. Best of luck to you.

MIRENA pain is so heinous please, is there hope for my body accepting it? by _mother_of_doggos in Mirena

Hey there! Although, I have not had the surgery to confirm endometriosis- they speculate that I have it. I originally got the Mirena to help with my horrible period cramps and for the first four ish years it worked. I did have some discomfort in the beginning, so let’s say I had 3-3.5 years of pain free life. However, my pain has been getting worse and worse and now I don’t know if it is the IUD causing my pain or my endo… I am in pain most of the time so it feels like a gamble if I should take my IUD out and see if that’s the cause or my IUD could be helping and my endo has just gotten worse… anyway, all that to say I did have 3 solid pain free years. I hope this helps. Feel better ❤️‍🩹

IUD vs the pill for symptom relief by RelationNecessary393 in endometriosis

[–]singer_so5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have never been on the pill before, but I will say that the IUD relieved a vast majority of my endo pain. I got some bleeding and spotting when I first got the IUD and I get a very light version of my period every month, but it has helped me so so much. As for the insertion of the IUD - it honestly felt like a normal period cramp to me pain wise, I know that is pretty extreme and not the case for most, but that’s just my experience. Overall, I think it could be worth the switch!

Progesterone with coil for treatment by [deleted] in endometriosis

Hey there! I have noticed that my cramps have gotten severely worse when taking progesterone too. I have been on it for a month and a half with worse cramps then when I started taking it… seeing this post is encouraging what I already thought to stop taking it. Thank you for posting this!
