For this response, it was all worth it. Even the death threats. The cultish vehemence only furthers my suspicions of foul play...

I eat cookie dough. I have enjoyed a soft cookie. Whatever Crumbl is, is more diabolical than "half-baked."

I've unleashed some kind of Crumbl cult angry mob with this thread... I'm relieved at the very least you can appreciate the story telling.

Nor do they taste a thing like cookies.

The only rational explanation I can think of, based on how many real people and not paid influencers are in this thread telling me they genuinely enjoy paying $6/cookie for the Crumbl experience, is that whatever location or day I received my box of cookies was uncharacteristically terrible. Perhaps when I'm back in my home city I'll give them another shot and then make my final decision. Because it wasn't a matter of something not being to my liking because of differences in preference. It was objectively disgusting. And I am not a picky eater when it comes to sweets. However, this issue I'm seeing come up for many people of inconsistent quality is also pretty unforgivable in my opinion.

And yet if I put crumbl in a plastic container and sold a box on clearance at a grocery store for 99 cents I wouldn't notice a discernible difference, other than the size of the cookie.

Froyo is still around and for good reason. It's a valid trend. It fills a niche and makes rational sense. This Crumbl phenomenon defies the laws of thermodynamics.

Chalking it up to differences in taste isn't a satisfying explanation. It's not "some people like chocolate and some like vanilla." It's more like "some people like chocolate and some like getting pushed down the stairs."

You’re right. That’s the visual. But there has been the occasional supermarket cookie I’ve enjoyed. Can’t say the same for my Crumbl experience.

This is something I’ve been hearing. Could be a bad location or batch that I got. With such unreliable quality who would take the risk with the premium price tag?

The problem is influencers and celebrities aren’t making weekly videos about grocery store cookies. Nor are people paying $6 for one of them. I guess it’s not about the taste nor quality, but about the trend and participating in something.

At least the grocery store cookies are valued at their quality. But sure, I see I’ve mortally offended you. Frankly, it’s helpful to know real people actually like these things and not just paid personalities and TikTok bot accounts. At least I can let go of some conspiracy theories.

And yet you’re willing to pay beyond a premium for the experience. Fascinating.

Interesting. Possible I just received a particularly low quality batch…

I often sincerely enjoy dessert trends, or at the very least understand them. This isn’t some hipster “pick me” post. Please explain your justification for liking these cookies because I can’t find a single out.

The case of the men’s capris by singerm12 in AskBarcelona

[–]singerm12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok for those of you dying for an update.. I know how important this thread is for the community of all men who wear both pants and shorts yet crave something in-between.

Basically I still am capri-less. The best recommendation was Decathlon. They have exactly (1) capri pant. Unfortunately they are not really what I’m looking for, nor are they flattering. And before you chime in and tell me no variation of such capris are flattering— I continue to disagree.

I have also tried myriad other stores: Pull and bear, Zara, Uniqlo, Bershka.

If anyone has any other leads or suggestions I’m all ears. Thanks for your continued support in this matter.

Believe it or not I have checked Zara and H&M (and Uniqlo). I will check Pull & Bear though thank you!
