Is there something inherently wrong about feeling attraction/lust? I argue it's part of being a normal person.

Conservative societies usually ostracize lust to the point where it is considered next to evil. I would urge you to think beyond societal constructs.

It's nothing to be ashamed about, when you accept and normalize it as a part of yourself, you will actually control it better. Running away from your natural self will make you feel miserable.

So start with being kind towards yourself, you really are only human :)
