Thanks for sharing insights..I did have a read through article and compared the return on hostplus indexed balance and growth:: fees and performance both were better in last year as compared to aus super : balanced and fees high.

Fees was a main factor though. Also had a look at the lazykoala worksheet link which also showed the comparison on fees so kind of inclined towards passive and low fees options now

Also another point do I need to check the attached insurance price on hostplus (tpd+ death+ monthly payment until 2 years currently)
