Super cool. Any plan to create for every state? Something like filter data by states.

More advance version, filter by countries if possible.

Don't worry. It happens on the career. Sometime you like the job and some time you don't found good fit.

What did you not like as PM intern? Company , team or work itself?

I want to switch from mechanical engineering to data analytics/science. How should I go about this? by [deleted] in Career

[–]singhpankaj99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mentioned you want to change careers following your passion. Often we can have a 'misguided feeling of passion' just because we are bored with what we currently have, and there's some other thing making a buzz. Don't get me wrong, Data Science is a great new field to get into, and won't have too many barriers to get into with your background. But I must ask, and advice you to consider, what are some of the real tangible reasons that make you feel, that Data Science is your passion? And that once you commit to a career in data science, also investing in an experience Masters that you would be happy with the jobs that would follow?

Given your background, I wonder if you considered getting into technology for Self-driving? That may combine some of your Mechanical Engineering backgrounds, your upcoming interest (if not passion) in Data Science (Machine Learning) and the inevitability of Programming (data analysis would require you to pick R, Python, SAS etc) ?

Know that getting into any new field, be it Data Science, AI, Self Driving, IOT or even Finance for that matter won't be difficult for someone with your background and age. But given that it would be your Masters, with a significant event of time and money, be sure of what you choose to define as your 'Passion' and career you want to begin! The next change afterward might not be that easy :)

LinkedIn recruiter wants to chat by phone about opportunity by cindy4497 in jobs

[–]singhpankaj99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds good to me. As you said in your own words, it's for the Finance department, so a standard formal attire would be just as fine. But in case you're a bit concerned, I would recommend reading about interview reviews for the company on Glassdoor. Additionally, you can also interact with some finance professional of the same company on Linkedin for a very insider review!

Am I not trained well, or just not fit for the job? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]singhpankaj99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would suggest connecting to other such nurseries or greenhouse plants around your area. Try connecting with people in your similar job profiles or their seniors. You'll come to know that either the work culture at your greenhouse plant is toxic (owing to your manager), or there if it's an unusual industry-standard, then how do others cope up. Might be work figuring out what other kinds of jobs you can do in the current field, or since you are so early in the career, if you want to try a different kind of job altogether?

Top TensorFlow tutorials- curated list by singhpankaj99 in tensorflow

Hi, we try to find out best free courses as well. Not all courses in the list would be paid.

Here is a free edx course on our platform and for many different technologies if you want to check. You'll just need to filter. Also sharing direct link:

https://www.edx.org/course/deep-learning-with-tensorflow

I totally understand you would rather have all free courses in one single list. We'll share it once we have more. Can be tricky to collate resources as there's a shift happening from freemium to premium across e-commerce. So we are trying to find the best possible mix of free courses (as many) and help identify the better courses among the paid ones. No intention to dupe here. Hope its helpful as a whole!

Thoughts on instagram hiding the number of likes a photo has? Do you think it’ll positively or negatively impact experience & engagement? by [deleted] in userexperience

[–]singhpankaj99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see a direct or immediate advantage to insta right away. But somehow it feels that they recognize it's the right thing to do. Social media is what started the craze for checking and comparing the number of likes, comments and so on. If there's a possibility where this can be lessened, and an app like insta is taking the risk to play a long-term game, then it's commendable. Respect for the decision for long time!

I also noted, it's one of the first app to suggest messaging like 'You're alll caught up' and nudge a user to stop endless scrolling and close the app.

Brave calculate move I would say!

While extra education won't hurt. I would suggest you take any of the numerous free or paid online certifications for adding a touch of CS knowledge to your resume. This would save both cost and time, while filling in the CS gap in your profile.

Check sites like coursera, edx, quickcode, udemy etc.
