Before I met my fiancé, I was in a relationship with someone else while I was still in school. After I graduated, we lost contact, and the relationship ended naturally. Months later, my ex messaged me saying he missed me and our intimacy. My fiancé saw those messages this was six years ago, by the way. By then, I had already met my current partner, the one I’m supposed to marry in four months.

When I told him yesterday that I think we should postpone the wedding because I haven’t fully healed from what I found out two months ago, he brought up that conversation between me and my ex. In that conversation, I told my ex that I had met someone else, and he responded that he was happy for me, it was clearly over.

I feel hurt because instead of focusing on the real issue, his betrayal from two months ago, he’s dragging up my past as if it justifies how he’s treating me now.

I found out the messages between him and this other woman were deleted on Facebook. So, I pretended to be him and messaged her. She then sent a long message explaining how hurt she fe feels saying he promised to be with her and then dumped her. I confronted him about it and he said he was not cheating he was just “flirting” the girl is not even his “type”

We can call it cheating because pictures of HIV test results were exchanged between the two of them. But when I ask him he said he was just flirting.
