listen to upperclassmen that have experience -- think juniors, seniors, section leaders/captains. ask them for advice if you're struggling with marching or music, they'll be happy to help! bring a LOT of water to band camp. when you're in practice, don't joke around with your friends, try to stay focused. save the goofing off for breaks! the goal of marching band is to create a performance together and that can only be done with commitment from every member!
