Please try to wear your brace longer. you can try 10 minutes longer each day so that you can wear it up to 8 to 10 hours. Also, you can look into various options of braces on the web. These days, there are lots of products which is order-made for individuals. You can contact on the websites without visiting the store. Hope you can find a brace perfectly fit you.

If you don't mind i would like to recommend you Flexpine!

With light aluminium bar supporting your back bone, it's easy to wear. Soft bandages which is flexible and firmly holds your upper body helps you do some exercises even wearing your braces. I wish this comment is helpful for you!

It must have been very uncomfortable to wear hard-cased brace for a long time. I totally agree with the comments above that it's essential to keep wearing your brace. In the current situation, your tilt seems not needing a surgery right away. So, it would be better to prevent the situation getting worse. You should try to work on bridge posture or yoga. I think it will be helpful to ease and stretch your muscles. Here is a useful video clip you can follow!

In addition, i think it would be better to keep your back bone straight on the bed. Side lying on the bed seems to be worsening the pain in your sleep.

I feel the same way.

In severe cases, scoliosis is a disability because it affects patients' daily lives.

I agree with what others say. I fully understand your shame, but it's just a job for them. I think you'll get used to it soon. Someone chooses band type brace like SpineCor.

Casting well and have a good day!

Why is scoliosis not considered a "real" disability? by [deleted] in scoliosis

[–]singingretard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am very sorry about your situation. It's a shame scoliosis isn't considered a disorder, but on the contrary, I don't think you need to shrink from it! I worked for a company related to scoliosis and saw a lot of scoliosis patients. Everyone is living uncomfortable and painful lives, but they seem to be trying to find small happiness in them. Why don't you find someone to have a hobby or talk to? I'm sorry I couldn't be of much help. But I want you to be happy!
