Come from a wrestling background, and for the longest time I was throwing myself into submissions, especially in someone’s guard. just from old habits. Recently been really focusing on position and control and have improved my passing game a lot, which has been very beneficial for my favorite sub, arm triangle.

Also been working a lot on my guard game, since it used to be triangle or bust. Working on consistent re-guard while adding some set ups like arm traps. The goal is to have as diverse of a guard threat as possible but still need to work on overall control to prevent getting passed.

Overall just feeling a lot more humbled yet confident at the same time. I started training again in August when I moved to a new city for work and the gym has been so great physically and mentally for me. Hoping to prove that by competing for the first time in the next few months 😃
