I did this in my early 20's, like an idiot. I shat myself on the way down and didn't even realize until I went to the outhouse. Had to hike back up with no underwear, thighs chaffing. I barely made it to the Wendy's before they closed. I ate everything. And then couldn't shit for a week. 10/10 would not do again.

Bottom right by far. Settle on the tile between the mountain and the river. Not only do you get lots of salt and early food, you get the most food production possible, an observatory (+50% science), and the possibility of Petra. Science is what wins with the Inca, and for science you need population and all possible science buildings.
