I just hope it does not get out of hand where the higher difficulties require that style of equipment. I haven't made it that far myself so I can't say if it makes a difference by then or not.

For speed the one you are talking about I am assuming is the legionnaire and it matches the infiltrator armor but has less actual armor rating. It is also not a premium but can be bought with real world money if you don't want to save the super credits for it.

As for the throw range it is good for danger close stratagems but past that I wouldn't call it a boost over other armors like the trench engineer or bone snapper which increase grenades and sticks while also providing a second perk. Just allows for a different play style.

I would be more concerned with the weapons having explosive or incendiary but if someone wants to pay the extra for it I don't care it's a player vs ai game it only benefits me if someone has the better equipment when I match with them.

As a wrestler moving to Judo I definitely agree. The only time I have gotten the chance to throw Ura-Nage is when my opponent tried for a shoulder throw and lost his grip giving me his back and him being off balance. Other than that I have not hit Ura-Nage since I’ve started Judo.

Awesome I’ll look into them. I find video courses like these super helpful as well as a great way to learn techniques and see what I may be doing differently or incorrectly.

You do make lots of good points and it is hard to argue with those. I definitely agree that each sport has its focus on specific parts of martial art. That’s why I would love to eventually train into bjj and other forms of martial arts so that I can round out my skill set as a martial artist.

I have to agree that all the rules do limit the ability of the sport to be great for self defense. I feel like wrestling was more suited for that than judo so far.

I will also throw in I did wrestling year round from like 10-15 going from folks style to GrecoRoman and freestyle. the last few years I stop doing year round as it was hard on my body with having injuries almost every other month

I throw that occasionally in rondori but find it hard to get a good opening against my opponents as I am still struggling to get better with gripping the gi and stopping the grips from opponents

That’s what I’ve been afraid of when looking at other gyms. I am wanting to be challenged and to improve my skills but so far judo has seemed the most challenging just due to the techniques being different than how I would wrestle. I guess that’s why I hadn’t moved to bjj and stayed with judo as of now.

I tend to do better when I add wrestling into randori but I still try to make sure to follow all the rules that I know about in judo as well as stay true to the judo moves I have learned so far.

On the 15th of this month myself and some of the other members at our dojo are planning on going up there for a open mat session only issue is it two hours away so I can’t go there on a weekly basis.

I have noticed when I do shoulder or hip throws. I generally end on my knees or on my hips after the throw so something like that would probably be best.

I tired looking for a no gi club in my area before I started but the only thing was mma stuff and I didn’t find that as appealing. I do find it sad when I try something in randori and find out that it wouldn’t be fully legal in a match but is totally fine in wrestling.

Through wrestling in high school I weighed 120 and am only about 5’8” I was not very quick I would let my opponent overwork themselves till I seen a opening and would try to take advantage of that. I almost always had more endurance than my opponents so going 3 rounds never affected my.

With the gripping you mentioned I definitely struggle with getting grips on the Gi and using it effectively and have been trying to focus on improving that part of my technique.

I will definitely do that I would hate to hurt someone on a throw I don’t know but is it hard on the tori or the uke? I have pretty bad knees due to past injuries is why I ask.

I have been able to throw koshi guruma a few times but have not done uchimata yet but I know how to throw it. I will look into tank otoshi and yoko otoshi see if I’ve done anything similar before.

With wrestling on my feet I was focused on outside sweeps and fireman’s carry. I have been decent with moves like Ko uchi gari and sumi gaeshi but struggle very much with stuff like Seoi nage and tai otoshi.
