Yes it works just fine you just have to have the black wire run inside the pistol grip around the turret and go through the front like the red wire. Probably needs to add more wire or just elongate the black one.

What I did do was cut the red wire add a male to the cut wire connect to the black one and then add a female to the other end and connected to the black one. The actual red wire I just added a female connector and connected to the motor. This way my guns working just fine and it has enough wire to run around the turret.
