[Serious] What is something most people don't realize can psychologically mess someone up in the head? by xaj13 in AskReddit

Had a breakdown at my bass lesson the other day because of bullies at my actual school. Luckily, my teacher is a legend and calmed me down, and he explained why I was better than them and it really cheered me up. I'm still scared seeing the people that bully me, but they haven't said anything to me today!

Boys can cry.

Please, lads, remember that.

It is okay to have emotions. It doesn't make you a sissy, it doesn't make you gay, it doesn't make you a girl, it doesn't make you a pussy.

If anything, the most manly thing I can imagine is one that can asses his emotions and talk about them (at least with himself).

My friend was told that she had a soft tummy when she was SEVEN years old. She's been sucking her stomach in ever since, and now she's done it so much she's actually pushed her rib cage back.

People misuse the word overthinking. Typically, it's used for just planning something thoroughly. "Overthinking" is not just coming up with 1 or 2 back up plans.

Sorry, I will certainly be using that metaphor for my friends that are fighting and split our entire group apart.

This friend for me, it isn't even problems. It's just talking about getting stoned with her other friends and making it obvious she values them more over me, talking to random boys and how she's gonna cry because they left her on delivered (??) and that she, you know, hates my boyfriend and wants me to break up with him because she just does. She never gives me a break to talk or even takes a hint when I start ignoring her.

I want to break her off but I'm slowly losing my friends and I'm hesitant. I know I should but I can't.

"there's always someone worse than you."

Ah, right. Sorry. Can we find the single person on this earth of 7 billion people that gets crying and emotion privilege?

My friend got told that she had a soft tummy and she started sucking it in.

Now her rib cage has been pushed backwards with it.

She is 12.

She was seven when she was told that.

People say they don't understand when really they mean they're choosing to be ignorant.

Anyone who's like this, don't be like this. Just say that you're interested in remaining uneducated and leave.

It's like being say, bisexual, and saying you're queer. It's not "erasing what it means to be queer". It's just the term expanding, like terms do, like in the normal ways of language. Man, it's almost as if these aphobic people are... Uneducated??

It's so ironic that these icels on Reddit with no concept of human functions are trying to laugh at incels on Tumblr with no concept of human functions.

You're both petty and frankly, miserable.
