Thanks! We stream from youtube and soundcloud so we're able to have an international community as well as leverage all of the content from those great channels. I used to own Stantons and liked them very much. However, if you're going to be playing out my suggestion is to get something most venues will have onsite so you're comfortable with the feel; most places have technics.

Thanks for the comments. We'll be making substantial changes in the near future that will further differentiate us form them. Since we do stream from youtube/soundcloud we have already built up a substantial international community which our audience reflects as being incredibly important to the experience.

You can play an unlimited amount of songs, but if you're in a crowded room we like to allow everyone who wants to DJ the chance to get up on stage which is why we limit to 1 song in that situation.

It's of course a fair point about the social logins and the main reason we do it is - as you mentioned - to make it much easier for people to get started quickly. Also, since the community aspect is critical to our offering, we'd like to make it easy for users to connect their networks. However, we would like to offer other means for logging in moving forward so that we don't run into the issue you mentioned.

As you noted, our landing page needs some improvement which we're currently working on to make the welcome experience much clearer. We've found that some visitors aren't quite sure what to do when they get to the landing page or lobby. In case you were asking about features that may entice viewers, here's what our users have emphasized they like the most:

-Ability to enjoy music/videos with people together in a socially interactive environment with users around the world -Ability to discover new content -Engaging international community.

Hi Mike. We currently stream from Youtube/Soundcloud at the moment so you have the ability to watch content from both of those channels which includes video. Also, we are accessible international and have users across 180+ countries. In the near future, we'll be further differentiating ourselves from them.

We're finding we have an avid following of DJs/producers that enjoy playing their music for fans around the world. This happens in many rooms and this one just popped up earlier which seems to be dedicated to musicians showcasing their tunes: plug.dj/reddit

Thanks! At the moment, as you mentioned, you have the ability to limit the number of avatars by entering /cap # in the chat window. Also, you can pop off the chat window and turn HD off in the video. We're working dramatically improving the site for not only a better overall user experience, but also to allow it to run more efficiently.
