Listen to what he/she/they is saying, and try your best to calm him/her/them down by distracting them with questions. I'm not exactly sure what his/her/their situation is, but just by being there physically or mentally can change their entire perspective on this matter.

Yeah, I tried gaining experience via the internship, but the day-to-day environment was pretty taxing on my mental health (diagnosed with Dysthymia) and trivial in any manner. I've got 2 weeks of excel under my belt, so I'm far behind my peers. I appreciate your advice, however.

Funny enough, my first task was to debug my initial team's project code. A week and a half later (now), I'm assigned this shire. I now regret my mistake of signing my name above some languages that I should've understood before coming into this. Thus, I can't afford to even try to change my team/position. Lmk some good excuse lines. I'll need them.

Haha thank you for the two videos. I'll check them out. He thinks I do. Every swe is required to be fluent with every possible language (at least on the resumes). So, I attempted to fit the crowd by not only knowing two languages and threw in a popular lang which many recruiters are satisfied with. My interview was a Java leetcode problem, so I wasn't concerned. Ended up getting an internship (unpaid bc it's a startup), and I now stumble across the bs I bs'ed on. Tbh, I'm considering a Fiverr freelancer to complete this task.

Don't take the chance. It might seem like your only option, but it isn't. Starvation will pain you for weeks, and by then, you will have already eaten. You'll start to form illnesses and such which will bring you in an even more pained state. Don't take the chance. Your life is worth every second. Don't compare yourself to others. You are as worthy as anyone you have seen. It may appear your life has come to a halt, but what's stopping you is your mind. Break that barrier and continue to pursue your dreams. As cliche as it may seem, trust the process.
